Job Description

  • Preparation/review of the income statement and balance sheet and other financial statement notes including variance analysis and commentaries
  • Preparation and review of monthly/quarterly deliverables relating to MIDIS consolidated position
  • Regulatory compliance for MIDIS
  • Preparation of investor reports and responses for queries from external and internal stakeholders
  • Performing consolidation accounting control checks
  • Working on projects for implementation of new accounting standards, restructures, acquisitions etc.
  • Advising financial control teams on group presentation and consolidation accounting
  • Coordinating internally with business teams for various inputs used in deliverables
  • Liaising with external auditors
  • Liaising with external fund administrators
  • Ensuring adherence to timetable and maintaining a high quality of deliverables
  • Ensuring integrity and completeness of financial records and ensuring compliance with finance control standards
  • Continuously innovate with focus to improve process enhance efficiencies and add value; ensuring quality consciousness in all aspects of the team.
  • Establish a thorough understanding of the systems used in MIDIS, focusing on the Titan system, excel Models and third - party systems which cover a range of requirements include portfolio valuations, fee invoicing, new business allocation to portfolios and miscellaneous client and internal reporting.
  • Design and implement process improvements to streamline various business processes and models

About You

You are an experienced person in financial services and exposure to financial accounting and statutory reporting in a service industry environment. You have a strong customer service ethic, proactively understanding client requirements and maintaining good relationship with the clients and an ability to work in a virtual global team and manage cross - border relationships effectively.

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • Postgraduate accounting qualification, CA or CPA
  • 4 - 6 years of relevant post qualification experience
  • Willingness to travel overseas.
  • Willing to work in shifts.
  • A strong background of Financial Accounting and Reporting Services is essential.
  • High accuracy, strong numeracy and a good attention to detail
  • Have advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and work to tight deadlines, both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Be highly motivated, proactive, and be able to execute critical work streams with limited supervision and direction
  • Strong prioritisation skills, the ability to deliver within tight timelines, show effectiveness in your planning and ensuring quality output whilst demonstrating excellent attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication skills both verbally and written are desirable.
