Job Description

    About the opportunity Department Description India Human ResourcesPurpose of your roleThe objective of this role is to front end the range of HR Generalist and HR Business Partner activities in India. This would include focus on Employee Relations, Performance Management, employee engagement, career pathing, Reward and Recognition plans amongst other areas. In addition, the role includes managing org level priorities such as HR Foundations, Your Voice, On -Boarding, Employee Relations, MI etc. The individual in this role will work closely with other HR teams such as Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, HR Shared Services, HR Information Systems, Talent Management as well as other HR Business Partners to ensure that the needs of the business get fed back into the overall HR planning and strategy. The individual will also be expected to support other Senior HR Business Partners on critical priorities from time to time to enable broader team efficacy and success. Individual in this role should have the ability to understand business challenges, manage change, help in translating customer needs into actionable recommendations, participate in global / regional HR projects or initiatives.Key Responsibilities Enable engagement
    • Help the HR team gather the pulse of the people
    • Lead/support employee 1-1 and group engagement activities and feed this information back to the business and broader HR and functional teams for any initiatives that may need to be carried out
    • Support initiatives to support managers in managing their team s performance on an ongoing basis and to have honest, open performance conversations with a focus on constructive and transparent communication between employee and manager
    • Help drive the improvement plans for the low performers
    • Support employee participation in a range of enterprise wide development and engagement activities; liaise with India communications team as required
    • Ensure that the HR Technology infrastructure (HR Hub, Cornerstone, Workday, Amber, Ask HR, Service Now, Your Voice tool etc.) are leveraged optimally by employees and managers to find answers for questions relating to various policies and practices.
    Drive org wide people initiatives
    • Actively contribute to global HR priorities aimed at getting brilliant at basics - for example HR Foundations, projects like Job catalogue and grading, Workday foundations etc.
    • Be able to independently execute projects and participate in broader complex talent programs as required
    • Manage and support key talent processes - e.g. exit process (clearances to be provided through workday),
    • promotion cycles, year-end review, talent assessment etc and provide inputs to other HR team as required in a timely manner
    • Administer and support payroll inputs in a timely manner
    • Drive/analyse the Your Voice engagement survey for India / function
    • Work with the HR Shared Services team to ensure that changes are made accurately on the HR database system and various HR reports
    Employee Relations (ER) tracking
    • Support/manage traction of ER cases and share status updates to management team(s) and HR Business Partners as required
    • Support building manager capability to handle situations by developing their skills rather than managing the issues for them
    • Support the resolution of employee relations matters e.g. Involuntary termination, Redundancy, Performance Improvement Plan, Disciplinary Meeting etc
    • In conjunction with HR Legal, review existing policies and procedures, and make recommendations on continuing, modifying or eliminating policies and procedures that are not supporting business goals (reviewing and updating employee handbook)
    • Spot trends in the ER cases and work on the interventions to effectively deal with the issues in a timely manner.
    People Adviser to Business & Performance Management
    • Work closely with identified business leaders to understand business and talent priorities and support the delivery of people related goals, objectives and initiatives (under the guidance of a Senior HR Business Partner)
    • Work with managers to understand motivation and retention issues for top talent, developing and implementing interventions where issues are identified
    • Work with the C&B teams on the market reviews of compensation and work with the business to ensure an efficient management of the year end compensation review process is conducted
    • Work with managers to ensure regular talent discussions take place as part of management meetings, and development plans are in place targeting high potential employees and for talent pipeline
    • Partner with managers to implement talent development, deployment, performance reviews, recognition and career management process
    HR Reports, Analytics and Research
    • Enable self and broader HR Business Partners team through HR reports and analytics as may be required from time to time to support broader projects/ initiatives
    • Be able to spot meaningful data insights and trends to help inform HR Business Partners team priorities
    • Provides HR insights to business goals and directions
    • Enable further development of reporting and analytics capabilities to create self-service culture where HR Business Partners and managers could seek the information on their own
    • Help with secondary research on industry best practices with respect to HR policies and practices
    Experience and Qualifications Required
    • Post-Graduate with 5 Years of work experience
    • An individual with the highest level of personal authority and integrity
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and culturally sensitive approach to for impact across all levels and functional, national and cultural boundaries.
    • Should be able to pay attention to details and multi-task
    • Excellent working knowledge of MS office tools (with focus on MS Excel and PowerPoint)
    • Knowledge of working on Power BI would be desirable
    • Can demonstrate a flexibility of thinking, ability to analyse and distil complex information quickly
    • A natural self-starter with the appetite for the considerable workload, intensity and challenges presented by regional growth and the developing business.
    • A team player, who will be able to work within the overall culture and fit with its entrepreneurial but collaborative style.
