Job Description

Assist in the implementation of the Information Management Strategy for the GroupData quality team charged with managing the Data Quality lifecycle (Design , build , test , execute , monitor)Manage team to meet objectives , and support the further education of staff both within the team and our key customers in the principles and processes to support data qualityEngage stakeholders to support their obligations with regards maintaining data quality to agreed standards;Consumers identify critical data , establish rules and set performance standards.Providers maintain shared data repositories in a controlled manner to meet data quality requirementsProducers capture data in a manner that meets the quality standards up to the point of delivery to downstream systemsMonitor dashboards to ensure test outcomes are within agreed thresholdsMonitor exceptions to ensure clearance within accepted timelinesParticipate in FMG / EDM Data Quality / Metadata Working GroupsPoint of contact for projects seeking guidance on Data QualityCapture Data Quality Rule and establish metrics for ongoing monitoring and reportingCapture high level and detailed data lineage with assistance of data lineage toolsLiaise with peers within the Group Data Office CoE team to support escalation of issuesLiaise with peers within the Group Data Office CoE team to support review of Data Risks and ControlsAd- hoc work on other projects or task. This includes any OE initiatives you identify and deliverAbout YouKey skills SummaryTo be successful in this role , you will have an overall post- qualification experience of around 10- 12 years with about 7- 8 years of relevant experience in Data and Information Management roles as Data Business Analyst in the Financial Services industry.You will also possess the following:An understanding of Enterprise Data Management and data quality concepts would be desirable.Hand s on experience on Informatica Data Quality tool is big advantage.Advanced understanding of regulatory expectations for financial institutions with regards data managementAdvanced understanding of a data quality lifecycleAdvanced background / understanding of risks and controlsAble to plan and lead projects to completionAdvanced communication / reporting skillsFamiliar with the tools and methodology needed for successful quality control , Business Intelligence tool experience an advantage , for example Alteryx and PowerBIGood analytical skills and be able to interpret dataDeveloping strategies for effective data analysis and reporting. Knowledge of Python/ R will be big plus.Be analytical and have demonstrated experience in effective problem solvingHave both a strong desire to work with business and technology teams , plus have a proven ability to work across all levels of stakeholders and build networks quicklyExcellent written and oral communication skills , including listening and interpersonal skills.Demonstrate strong relationship building skills with finance teams and senior management regarding anticipated issues and competing and changing priorities.Have an organised and focussed work ethicExperience working in a team- oriented , collaborative environmentAdditional SkillsCommunication skillsDemonstrated ability to motivate , influence and gain commitment at all levels of the organizationStrong facilitation , oral and written communication skills.
