Job Description

*Ceded Re - Reporting & Analysis team publishes various monthly and quarterly Management Reports to support Placement, credit control team, claims team and senior management in decision making. The process involves deep analysis of information, triangulation with key parameters (Business vs region/ country) and has quick turnarounds.This role will be focusing on driving the analytics to measure business performance towards Product management, Regional Management, Legal Entity and Producing office Management.What will your essential responsibilities include

  • Prepare and support on monthly & quarterly reports. Develop dashboards by understanding Business specifications and translating them into automated modules wherever possible.
  • Prepare the reports for monthly/ quarterly analysis like ceded reinsurance recoveries, Open claims, Credit Control, etc.
  • Develop and automate the existing and new reporting requirements, keeping them standardized, but flexible enough to incorporate last minute changes and adjustment in fast moving reporting environment
  • Support the designing, modeling and maintenance of operational metrics dashboard for Ceded Re function
  • Manage the data extraction and report running out of various operational reporting tools and databases including Reinsurance Datamart (RDM), Cognos, MIS, etc.
  • Participate in projects as required to ensure that all potential impacts to financial data are identified and managed effectively
  • Ensure proper documentation and audit trail for all the reports prepared
Maintain strong communication with onshore (both written and verbal) and manage expectations, *We re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
  • Intermediate to advance knowledge of MS office tools like Excel & Access (Pivot, charts etc.) is a must.
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing process and methodologies
  • Sound technical accounting knowledge.
  • Excellent analytical and trouble-shooting skills and ability to analyze and manipulate huge volume of financial and operational data
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Makes recommendations to management on new processes, tools and techniques, or development of new products and services
  • Possesses skills and awareness and consistent basic project management, analytical and application skills
  • Consistently determines and executes basic research and/or referrals independently
