Job Description

Associate Director- Custom ProcessingMarkitSERV provides an end-to-end solution for post-trade transaction management of credit, interest rate, equity and foreign exchange derivatives. MarkitSERV also connects dealers and buy-side institutions to central clearing counterparties, trade repositories, and electronic swap markets.MarkitSERV combines the flagship electronic trade confirmation, position reconciliation and related workflow platforms from its parent companies to provide a single gateway for over the counter (OTC) derivative transaction processing globally. Our combined solution helps to reduce operational risk, streamline processing, and improve the safety and certainty of the OTC derivatives markets by simplifying and automating trade processing across the major asset classes.Custom Processing are a part of MarkitSERV. They design, coordinate, and execute large industry events on the Markit Wire platform on behalf of clients. Examples include Mergers and Acquisition processing, Corporate Actions and Trade netting exercises.Position summaryThe Custom Processing team is looking for a highly motivated and professional individual who can lead the team in building complex post trade processing solutions for clients in the OTC derivatives industry.Duties & accountabilities

  • Manage a 5+ member team of operational analysts
  • Drive the performance of the team to excellence in execution and balancing short term business needs with long term training and career development paths.
  • Identify areas of improvements of current processes and make necessary changes accordingly.
  • Partner with business and product in identifying and executing on new revenue growth opportunities.
  • Act as a relationship point for clients and internal business partners for work done and potential opportunities.
  • Coordinate and keep control of adherence to audit requirements.
  • Drive operational excellence in executing time-bound activities and procedures ensuring client satisfaction.
Business competenciesEducation and experience
  • University graduate preferred
  • Minimum 10 years financial services experience from which comparable knowledge can be acquired
  • Previous management experience is essential
  • In depth knowledge and experience of the MarkitWire platform, MarkitWire API, XML format is a must
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Knowledge of OTC trade life cycle and financial markets is a must
  • Knowledge of excel, VBA, Python scripts, Power BI, JIRA and program management tools is an additional bonus
  • Project Management experience and certification of Prince2 or PMP is an additional bonus
Commercial awareness
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment with client orientation
  • Demonstrable understanding of financial systems and their relationship to the MarkitSERV Platform
Management requirements
  • The role will require day to day management of 10+ staff with the Custom Processing team. As such previous management experience is essential.
