Process Overview

Bank of America Merrill Lynch s Global Banking and Markets (henceforth referred to as GBAM) franchise is a global powerhouse providing institutional clients worldwide with access to our leading sales and trading and research franchises, investment banking services and product innovation. Through our platform, we serve institutional, corporate and commercial clients in the U.S. and internationally, with a broad range of products and services.

Global Banking Operations teams are responsible for operations of commercial, corporate, investment banking and government clients, as well as small business and business banking clients. These teams deliver end-to-end services and operations. Global Markets Operations supports institutional and commercial clients and the Bank s regional technology and operations teams.

Loan Reconciliations process is part of the Operations team and is responsible for performing various reconciliations, identification and implementation of controls and ensuring data integrity within the system of records for accurate downstream reporting.

Job Description

The individual will be a contributing member of the Loan Reconciliations team, responsible for delivery of high quality results on various mandates that the team is working in partnership with various teams within Operations, Technology and Finance. Should have demonstrated an insightful ability to build strategy and in an ever changing environment, should have demonstrated the core capability to continuously prioritize and re-evaluate strategic execution plans

Responsibilities

Have a strong background and understanding of the Wholesale Credit Operations. Be a Subject Matter Expert and have a thorough understanding of Loan IQ application

As a senior member, work closely with various stakeholders to drive the business agenda of building a strong team supporting various aspects of reconciliations, governance and control.

Proactively identify communicate gaps in the business, as well as recommend controls (reports, procedural changes, governance routines) that can be leveraged to streamline the process

Ensure Audit Readiness for the business Ensure that SOPs and other governance documents are updated timely and accurately whenever there are any technology process changes in the business

Design streamline Quality Audit methodology, Rebuttal TrainingOJT processes for the business to enhance quality and better on-boarding experience for new hires

Proactively communicate and ensure visibility to leadership on the upcoming technology changesenhancements, Deployment Plan, Impact Assessment based on the scope Processprocedures, Associate, Systems etc. lessons learnt Take complete accountability ownership for Testing of controls and recommend new controls remediation plan based on the findings

Identify Process Technology issues, relay them to relevant stakeholders as well as Project Team and bring them to closure through follow-up mediation with TechnologyLOB

Have innovative approach to work and continuously identify and implement process improvements

Requirements

Mandatory Skills

Knowledge of Commercial Loans is required

Good experience and knowledge of project management skills and concepts

Eye for detail and must be procedure focused to adhere to the Policy guidelines.

Strong business centric mind-set with ability to utilize sound business judgment and tailor approach to drive optimal business outcomes; understands how business decisions impact regional risk

Ability to understand and drive Front-to-Back Workflow and articulate and understand full product transaction life-cycle in Global Banking.

Excellent Stake holder management (internal external) across regions functions lines of business.

Excellent verbal and written communicationpresentation skills.

Qualification Post Graduate in finance.

Experience Minimum 12+ years of relevant years of experience.

Work Timings Flexible to work for APAC and EMEA shifts
