Job Description

The AXA XL Cloud Platform Build Lead is responsible for planning, executing and closing Azure Cloud platform technical projects such as Technical Debt remediation (initial Azure tenant vs new technical tenant), Azure PaaS Platform and OpenShift Container Platform, aligned with AXA XL Architecture and Standards. He/she will own and manage key deliverables and evolutions of AXA XL Cloud platforms, ensuring harmonious delivery in adherence to AXA XL Cloud strategy and technologies. The Cloud Platform Build Lead role is crucial in AXA XL Cloud Transformation, as it enables delivery of the Cloud platforms adapted to business needs for new applications, as well as successful migration of existing applications to adapted Cloud environments. It is a cornerstone for all AXA XL Cloud activities.What will your essential responsibilities include
• Own and manage key deliverables and evolutions of AXA XL Cloud platforms to enable applications migration to Cloud environments as per AXA XL Cloud strategy
• Own Cloud platforms (project and BAU) for components that are part of entity scope (CI/CD, entity foundational objects in Azure, PaaS services etc)
• Define how Cloud should meet requirements (automation, guideline ) coming from AXA XL key stakeholders (Security, operational resilience, Finance) and enforce usage across AXA XL
• Manage corresponding delivery teams in matrix setup, with resources in direct reporting line as well as dotted line when relevant skillsets are in various AXA XL and AXA GO departments
• Ensure that Group provided Cloud platforms and products (OpenShift, MPI, POD) meet AXA XL application & data migration requirements (both from technical and timeline perspective), precise these requirements when needed and influence timely delivery; escalate any discrepancies in appropriate AXA XL Cloud Transformation governance as well as in specific governance between AXA XL and AXA GO
• Supported by Architecture and Standards team, provide direction on activities that have impacts on how Cloud works (eg: Cloud connectivity / Network routing / DNS) to guaranty end-to-end simplicity & quality of service
• Bring support to Cloud migration activities to overcome challenges
• Outline and manage dependencies, stakeholders and demands
• Understanding technical concepts including the Microsoft Azure eco-system, identity and access management, CI/CD, DevOps and security
• Acting as an escalation path to resolving technical issues, incidents and challenges and the ability to abstract these for management as appropriate
• Supporting on incidents and issues, where appropriate, to help drive items to successful resolution and closure
• Define and operate corresponding operational governance
• Ensure constant alignment with architecture and technology authority as well as AXA XL and AXA Group Cloud strategy, in particular on use of relevant tools and required level of automation
• Define corresponding projects, their goals and objectives, creating project plans that outline the project scope, schedule, budget and resources requirements
• Set up and manage milestones, manage and guide team members to achieve them; develop and manage RAIDs log to minimise or mitigate risk/issues
• Monitor and report progress against plan and adjust plan to ensure the project stays on track;
• Manage budget ensuring delivery within budget constraints
• Ensure project deliverables are high quality and are delivered on time
• Conduct continuous improvement, optimising delivery by improving processes and outcomes
• Provide leadership and direction in a positive and productive manner
• Ensure transparency and trust by communicating and reporting regularly with stakeholders and teams
, * SHARE your talent We re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
• 10-12 years of experience managing complex agile and hybrid programmes, including Cloud transformation and legacy modernisation Previous techincal implementation and engineering experience
• Understand technical Azure cloud capabilities, infrastructure eco-system, terminology, and how to tackle technical debt efficiently; as well as software development lifecycle, software architecture, testing and DevOps
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements, focus on iterative and incremental delivery
• Strong understanding of Kanban/Scrum/Agile methodology and experience working in a Scrum team
• Customer orientation / added value, simplify in a complex organization, autonomy and proactivity;
• Adaptable to new/different strategies, programs, technologies, practices, cultures, etc.; comfortable with change, able to easily makes transitions
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Proven ability to clearly articulate goals and desired outcomes and influence key decisions to ensure deliverables are met.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, colleagues and teams and leverage those relationships to deliver on goals
• Ability to listen and understand complex requirements, team spirit and willingness to share knowledge;
• Proven planning and organization skills, creating work schedules, prioritizing workload, preparing in advance and setting realistic timescales
• Ability to understand AXA standards in place and take them into account in future implementations (Security, IFC )
• Ability to identify and solve problems quickly, including team management, project risk and technical challenges
• Ability to understand technical Azure cloud capabilities, terminology, and how to tackle technical debt efficiently; as well as software development lifecycle, software architecture, testing and DevOps
• Bachelor s degree and/or relevant work experience (PMP, Agile Scrum Master, SAFe, PRINCE2 or similar certification)
