A business exhibiting the same unique combination of management skills , best practice methods and adventurous spirit that exists with Mace globally.The roleAssistant Surveyor - Building Project To perform the role as assistant surveyor and reporting to surveyor , taking responsibility for end to end service delivery , often with respect to large or complex commissions.Your responsibilities will include: Assisting in preparing feasibility studies and writing reports and recommendations. Providing support for an effective stakeholder engagement and briefing. Scoping , estimating and presenting reports. Facilitating surveys , design and specification services. Aiding the delivery services in accordance with best practice (and all legislation) in relation to asbestos , health and safety and etc. Taking personal responsibility for service delivery. Interfacing with the client and other consultants , at all project stages. Assisting in providing input into the formal management of an assistant building surveyors or small building surveying team. Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each commission is input into the sense internal database. Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes. The requirementsYour experience , knowledge and skills need to include: Previous working experience of minimum 5 years in a similar role is preferred. Experience in construction or consultancy industry is essential. Technical knowledge and competency in building surveying. Good negotiation , presentation and report writing skills. Strong IT skills. Qualifications A degree or diploma in building surveying , construction management and engineering is preferred but is not essential. Professional memberships are an advantage but are not essential.
