Position Purpose & Summary: This position is responsible for conducting contracts review and negotiation s for Cargill, Incorporated & its affiliates as an in-house lawyer and will be a part of the Global Contracts Group ( GCG ), Cargill Law Department. This position will work closely with Cargill businesses and with other lawyer team members who provide legal counsel to Cargill. Principal Accountabilities:Contract Drafting and Negotiation - 90% Reviews and drafts contracts as requested by Cargill businesses. Focuses on drafting key legal provisions to manage risk for Cargill s businesses and functions. Drafting activity/scope will include ability to appropriately review & modify Cargill templates, review key legal provisions, adequately counsel clients, and negotiate with counterparties to realize Cargill s business objectives in the contracting arrangement. Scope of contracts will include confidentiality agreement, intellectual property agreements, sales and supply agreements, purchase agreements, master services agreements, information technology agreements, logistics agreements, Familiarity in using Skype and Microsoft Outlook. Coordination with GCG team members and Cargill Law team to obtain subject matter inputs on contracts to ensure Cargill policies and positions are followed. Partner with Law team members to update and revise templates for global use/ ability to update Playbook. Deal with internal clients in various locations and across diverse cultures Administrative - 10% Position will require use of contract lifecycle management tool i.e ONIT and Armour record management tool for legal records. Ability to spot areas for improvement in key legal processes. Support and advocate Law s continuous improvement efforts for contract managementRequired Qualifications:Law degree and license to practice in IndiaMinimum 2 to 3 years of contract drafting experience,English fluency (written and spoken)Ability to use a contract Lifecyle management /or other drafting toolPreferred Qualifications:Previous in-house counsel experience with specialized contracting focusAbility to use contract lifecycle management system and Armour,
