Job Description

    Data Engineer II:We are looking for a highly motivated, self-driven, self-starter and fast-growing potential individual to be part of a growing team of technologists. You have at least 2 years of experience in database development. An independent thinker, who works around problems and who isnt shy of trying new technologies.You have validated experience of working in parallel technologies apart from your core technology area (RDBMS & Cloud). Prior experience in working harmoniously with cross-geography team will be an added advantage. You should be equally appropriate in development, test, debugging roles and be ready to wear many hats. This team values fail-fast learners and technology enthusiasts who view learning new technology as a fun experience.What youll do:Designing, developing, deploying and managing high volume/high transactional mission critical SQL/No SQL systemDemonstrate deep knowledge of internals to solve performance problems and find optimizations in existing codeExperience in designing and deploying ETLs for Data Warehouse solutionsHelping us scale by standardizing our fleet of databases instances and automating their deployment/maintenanceAutomation/Configuration Management - Chef, Jenkins, Cloud Formation, etc.Lead database upgrade efforts in AWS environmentDisaster Recovery planning and ImplementationDefine actionable KPIs and configure monitoring/alertingDocument administration and response procedures through cookbooks & playbooksWho you are:2+ years experience with managing high transaction volume SQL/No SQL systems like SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDemonstrable experience and knowledge in DWH concepts and ETL tools like InformaticaStrong aptitude for building robust, automated processes and toolsAmazon AWS experience, particularly RDS, EC2 and AuroraExperience in a Linux environment, and familiarity writing shell scriptsAble to troubleshoot and resolve complex production issuesAbility to code via shell or scripting language such as Python, Perl or PowerShell,NoSQL databases experience Mongo or DynamoExperience with Python or other scripting languageExperience with Grafana, Graphite, CloudWatch or PagerDutyAmazon RedShift experience - Nice to have,
