As part of our transformational journey from operational reporting to advanced analytics, Enterprise Analytics team needs a Senior Data Visualization Specialist, IT Applications to work on design, development, testing, and implementation of visualization to delight business users. This visualization expert is a continuous learner, has good data skills and will closely work with data analyst and business users to deliver products that offers data insights via high quality visuals / UX.Responsibilities:

  • Perform exploratory data analysis and data pre-processing to arrive at patterns and trends.
  • Partner with data analyst, data engineer and / or business teams such as Finance, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Software, Services, Sales etc. to understand business requirements.
  • Owns design, development, and support to data visualization dashboard pulling data from data warehouse (Snowflake / Oracle data warehouse) or other sources.
  • Share options for high quality visuals for the requirements of new / enhancement of operational reports / dashboards.
  • Educates and trains users in Power BI, OBIEE, ThoughtSpot to grow self-serve capabilities.
  • Maintain peer relationships across IT including data engineering and enterprise integration team to support effective implementations.
  • Support the data needs from a range of stakeholders in a matrixed organizational environment.
  • Stay connected to key operational trends with ability to think strategically on how to best provide key data insights.
  • Ability to lead proof of concepts of new tools.
Key Skills:
  • 5 years of experience with implementing visualization / reporting tools such as Power BI, OBIEE, Tableau and ThoughtSpot.
  • Strong expertise with writing SQL and good understanding of data warehouse concepts is a must.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of analyzing data to identify any potential gaps is required.
  • Expert in visualization techniques and be able to present multiple options to business users.
  • At least two years of relevant experience; any additional customer-facing experience is a plus.
  • Comfortable with juggling facts, figures, and multiple projects.
  • Strong track record of learning. Exploring and presenting current vs emerging technology trends.
  • Strong team player with a sense of ownership for deliverables.
  • Demonstrated customer focus - evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer.
  • Communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions.
  • Prior experience with Einstein, Alteryx, and Oracle ERP is a big plus.
  • Agile mindset and good understanding of MVP / iterative development is desired.
