Job Description

The Database Lead will be responsible to manage the project, delivery. Design and development Deliver components of database products that are aligned with market, business and technology roadmap and strategy. Develop, document, communicate and track the schedules, plans, and risks for database products and components. Execute as per the SCA business plan. Accountabilities:

  • Lead and contribute in database design proposals, design discussions,testing and code reviews
  • Deliver assigned activities, working with project managers within budget, on time
  • Provide technical support for the production issues resulting from new deployments, analyzing business reported issues, determining the root causes, and implementing fixes to prevent future outages
  • Resolve all technical issues for the team, and support team by deep dive into complex issues impacting team delivery.
  • Write high level and low level design documents; Conduct reviews with application development and product management teams.
  • Mentor and train database team members to perform assigned tasks efficiently without quality issues, perform code review and be accountable for the productivity, quality, timeliness of self and team members
  • Be a part of cross - functional delivery team and Identify risk areas, issues which can delay deliverable and communicate or escalate ahead of time.
  • Communicate plans, milestones and their status on a weekly basis with managers and other stakeholders
  • Communicate with cross functional teams to understand customer, sales focus and align deliverables.
  • Clearly define tasks, timelines and expected outcomes from team members
  • Motivate team members to perform better and align with company goals
