Job Description

• Integrating SAP Solution Manager with SAP ERP, SAP BW and SAP BI.
• Implementing Central User Management with ERP, BI and BO Clients (QA, Dev and Production) and migration of all existing roles.
• Standard Project Management implementation.
• Implementation of standard System Monitoring Tools through Solution Manager for SAP ERP, SAP BI, SAP BW.
• Enabling the project team on using change management functionality and Basis on using central user management and transport management.
• Setting up system monitoring structure and tools and notifications
• Single point of contact for all requests for changes to SAP environments.
• Coordinate the provision of technical input on Architecture, Basis, Security etc to requestors of environment work
• Conduct a technical impact analysis of each environment request submitted.
• Request Environment Owner approval on all environment requests based on outcome of Technical Impact Analysis.
• Schedule environment provisioning work, monitor progress and provide status updates to requestors
• Provide details of approved environment work
• Create service requests / change requests to schedule involvement of relevant parties
• Communicate planned system outages to all impacted stakeholders.
• Provide details of escalated environment conflicts and Environment Owner recommendations to Project Managers forum
• Provide details of resolution of escalated conflicts to all stakeholders and update consolidated information
• Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
• Produce Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans
• Weekly Release Reporting
• Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required
• Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities
• Work with release engineers to understand impacts of branches and code merges
• Maintains the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.
• Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
• Develops scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms
• Participate in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks
• Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists

Business Impact:

• Defines and recommends Environment strategy and evolution plans for SAP technology within the ownership of the Enterprise Management Platform.
• Maintains a reputation with senior teams for resolving business wide issues affecting specific technology/networks/systems that provide the best result for BT as a whole.
• Relationships with BT central release and Devops teams to ensure that design recommendations and decisions are validated.

Authority/Decision Making:

• Responsible for engineering delivery plans for programs.
• Contributes to the transformation strategy for a network, platform or technology discipline in own area of expertise.
• Maintains a reputation for quality and delivery of their expertise to the business.
• Leads and mentors team(s) to provide technical / professional solutions to new innovative services.
• Costing and budgetary authorization on large / complex order
• Has defined authority and responsibility for technical and quality aspects.

• Relevant professional experience, relating to both business process and technical aspects of the role.
• In depth functional knowledge of SAP S4HANA,BW4HANA,BODS,BOBJ,SOLMAN.

Skills/Experience:

• Candidate should have 4+ years of SAP experience with at least 2 End to End implementation experience with Solution Manager
• SAP Solution Manager in configuring CUM (Central User Maintenance), ChaRM (Change Request Mgmt, Change Control Mgmt), Document Management, Incident Management
• CTS/CTS+
• Candidate should have experience on Project Management, CCMS, Business Process Monitoring, Solution Implementation, Test Management, Template Management, Solution documentation Assistant, Business Process Change analyzer.
• Candidate should have experience on Quality Gate Management, Third party service desk integration, Learning Maps Support customers on multiple platforms.
• SAP Basis experience in Access and Roles provisioning , coordinating the system configurations ,RFC connections and remote connections
• Ability to work in a team as well as an individual.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines.
• Good communication skills.
