We believe that our differences enable us to be a better team one that makes better decisions, drives innovation and delivers better business results.Job TitleDirector, Data Source Analysis Overview tThe Data Sources team in the Data Strategy & Management organization (Chief Data Office) is responsible for the acquisition, ingestion and evaluation of all types of data and data capabilities that can be utilized for innovation by a wide range of Mastercard product teams. tThe Director, Data Source Analysis will have global responsibility for managing our analytical teams, who support various research activities into merchant and third party data sets. This role will also provide leadership support to the operational management of various data collection programs, ensuring we have sufficient coverage of high quality data to support product launches.RoleDirector, Data Source Analysis tLead a team of high performing analysts in the review of merchant and third party data utility. tDefine and train the team on testing methodologies to evaluate the quality and value of potential new data suppliers and data platforms. Supervise the applicable analytical and O&T teams running tests to guarantee quality results. tLead the definition of test planning and test case construction, including how to pre-condition the data to run the tests and automated processing of results. tDefine and implement data federation requirements to integrate new data sources into existing data sources. Investigate and implement new data federation technologies as directed. tAutomate the execution of tests to maximize reuse across initiatives and minimize manual efforts over time. tProvide oversight and leadership of data dashboarding activities, including the definition and communication of roadmaps, and management of internal and external resources delivering that work. tServe as a corporate subject matter expert on merchant and third party data to support the organization s product development efforts that leverage that data. tWork with data platforms and O&T teams to define required changes to the technology platforms. tSupervise and improve the operational processes associated with the construction and maintenance of these assets. Develop educational material and train, as needed, on these tools and processes. Disseminate and educate others on same. tProvide operational leadership and a point of escalation for projects and issues associated with our various data collection programs. tEnsure platform roadmaps for governed technical systems are aligned with product needs, prioritized and funded appropriately. Develop business cases for key projects that demonstrate the value in investments.All About You tAdvanced experience working with data products, either in acquisition, development or evaluation tBachelor s degree in science, mathematical, engineering, or technology tProgram management experience tAbility to communicate to internal and external stakeholders about the value of data; strong written and oral communication skills; ability to present complicated concepts in a clear and cogent manner tStrong understanding of emerging technologies including but not limited to, cloud architecture, machine learning/AI, data prep and ETL tools, data visualization products, and Big Data infrastructure tStrong understanding of Mastercard systems tStrong interpersonal skills; ability to build strong relationships across the enterprise tData management or data analytics experience preferredDue to COVID-19, most of our employees are working from home.
