Job Description

As lead of the planning software engineering team you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing and improve our applications in the planning application portfolio, based on SAP APO / IBP / BW-IP technology stack, Anaplan and Oracle RPAS
  • Key responsibilities include enhancing existing applications, deployment of custom build applications, cloud data integration and SQL optimization
  • Shape, staff and form a team of developers and define its operating model together with ESC -Planning product teams
  • Interacting with ESC Tech consultants (Financial-, Merchandising-, Demand- and Supply Planning) in headquarter and the Technical Enablement team to understand, configure and deploy tools in the domain
  • Quality by Design mindset - Ensuring that the team follows DevSecOps standards and methods and fostering team exchange to ensure use of DevSecOps best practices across teams.
  • Enhancing capabilities in his team to ensure people extend their profiles to cover neighbor competencies, e.g. Development and QA
  • Driving change towards an agile organization and DevSecOps culture
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in core development role and a minimum of 5 years leading a team
  • Good understanding of agile development methodology
  • Experience in managing a remote development team and exposure to western culture is mandatory
  • Experience in at least one of the following domains: SAP (on prem and cloud offerings), AWS cloud integration, Java
  • Deep development experience in at least one of the following languages: ABAP, Java, JavaScript, Python
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data integration, data warehousing and query languages in a hybrid-cloud-context: SQL, SQL Script, HANA Views, ETL Tools, AWS Glue, REST API s, OData
  • Up to date with technology trends in application development, such as CI/CD and automated testing tools (Kubernetes, Jenkins, Cucumber, etc.)
  • Ability to think strategically end-to-end from a technical perspective
  • Strong communication and team building skills to create and lead a team of software engineers
  • Passionate about technology, being able to inspire the team
  • Eager to learn
  • Experience in planning applications is a plus
  • Experience in Machine Learning and Advanced Analytics is a plus
Education Required:
  • University degree in computer science or related studies.
  • English, Professional working proficiency.
  • Minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience as an Architect and Team Lead.
