Job Description

What will your job look like

  • Develop, establish and implement disaster recovery plans for the restoration of mission-critical business applications
  • Managing end to end DR testing under current processes to remain compliant
  • Assess & analyze gaps, contribute to the design & implementation of the DRP solutions
  • Work with IT department and other key personnel to determine if changes in hardware or software configurations affect disaster recovery plan outcomes
    • New systems / major upgrades with architecture changes
    • Smaller changes e.g. patches applied to the system
    • HW Changes / upgrades
  • Support technologies and infrastructure assessments as part of the business impact analysis process
  • Operate in a complex environment due to global distributed components that are in dependency with various systems and end users (Internal and external)
  • Creation and maintenance of DR maps
  • Support Amdocs internal and external audits
  • Provide DR status reports to the Global Corporate DRP Manager and management
  • Ensure all disaster recovery plans are reviewed and updated regularly
All you need is.
  • Bachelors Degree in computer science, engineering or related field
  • At least 4 years of experience in Disaster Recovery role in Telecom/IT sector
  • Knowledge on ON-PREM infrastructure disaster recovery solutions, ransomware and business resumption technologies, DR processes and best practices
  • Knowledge on cloud infrastructure disaster recovery solutions
  • Strong grasp of high-availability technologies, including servers, networking components, database / storage and associated replication technologies, cloud infrastructure.
  • Understanding of data replication technologies & tools (Zerto, Double-take etc.)
  • Knowledge on Windows DRP Solutions (Active Directory, Exchange, Security)
  • Good understanding of Linux and other UNIX platforms (RedHat, AIX)
  • Good understanding of Virtual Infrastructure and other cloud technologies (VMware, AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, OCP)
  • knowledge of backup software especially Commvault
  • Software: MS-Office, Visio

  • Certification (Not Mandatory)
    • Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certificate of Business Continuity Institute (CBCI), EC-Council Disaster Recovery Professional (EDRP) OR Any other equivalent certification
