Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

Provides vision, leadership, planning, project coordination and management for all daily operations of Finance/Accounting within the SSC and the Company s regular business in India, ensuring all standards and procedures are followed.

Partner with Corporate Controller and Program Manager in understanding business needs, ensuring the appropriate staffing levels and allocation of resources to deliver SLA s and achieve KPI goals.

Ensure effective communication between HR, Operations, Finance, and other departments within the SSC regarding any change and impact to associates or the business.

Oversee the complete monthly, quarterly and annual closing process of the India Business and deliverables to the global business as needed from the SSC.

Perform analytical review of information provided to Corporate and Regional Accounting used for journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and external financial reporting.

Manages timely and accurate local financial and regulatory filings.

Proactively communicates expectations with team members, creating goals and objectives that align with SLA s and KPI s.

Drive Process Improvement: Builds a culture of accountability and establishes priorities that support successful achievement of SLA s and KPI s.

Identifies and implements training initiatives that support achievement of SLA s and KPI s.

Communicates organizational expectations; creates goals and objectives that align with SLA s and KPI s, driving performance and productivity.

Leads the new hire on-boarding process; oversees the coordination and execution of new hire (technical) training. Maintains a level of engagement and learning with team members resulting in enhanced performance and low attrition.

Proactively manages disciplinary process; identifies and takes appropriate action with low performers, providing swift and effective action in order to drive performance; helps team members excel toward higher level of achievement.

Coaches and develops team members. Mentors Managers/Team Leaders to elevate the skills and expertise of the team; identifies and recognizes high-performers, creating a promote from within culture that grows talent.

Administers the performance management/review process; gathers feedback from Managers/Team Leaders and prepares/delivers performance evaluations.

Education and Qualifications

College degree with 7+ year track record of successfully leading accounting and financial operations and a minimum of 3 years managing a service delivery team. Experience:

Shared service role required. Managing a large team (20+) team members and leaders required Managing employee lifecycle to include; hiring, performance management, and separation decisions. Results oriented and operates with a strong level of accountability

Strong Excel skills

High standards and integrity. Proficiency/fluency of English language, spoken and written. Strong customer focus with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; proactive approach to addressing and communicating issues, providing feedback and solutions.

Experience in a relationship management/shared service role delivering and meeting KPI s to internal clients strongly preferred.

Track record of identifying and building talent, developing a high-performing team.

Demonstrated experience in process controls and commitment to continuous improvement.

Ability to be flexible with scheduling based on business needs. Solid accounting / US GAAP knowledge.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
