Job Description

General Manager: TaxationLocationGurgaonEmployer CompanySchneider Electric Private LimitedReporting toCountry Director TaxationKey Responsibilities:To manage direct tax and transfer pricing of SE India legal entities and provide strategic and routine advisory to business teams in line with the Group s business/ functional objectives. This includes:

  • Responsible to ensure direct tax and transfer pricing compliances for Schneider India legal entities. Responsible for computation of Income Tax/Advance tax/tax Provisions/Deferred tax/ tax reportings, filing of IT returns and filing of TP certificates.
  • Ensure compliance with TP policy of the SE Group in line with local country TP provisions.
  • Manage Tax assessments/ audits. Handle direct tax litigation, appear before authorities, draft replies/ appeals. Independently deal with consultants/ advocates.
  • Interface with Auditors and support finance team in finalization of statutory accounts, tax audit, etc.
  • Provide strong support to Manager in business planning & strategizing in Direct Taxation and Transfer Pricing for SE India group.
  • Develop sound understanding of business, Partner with business and provide timely support in decision making. Close co-ordination with the business teams to monitor and manage tax risks.
  • Coordinate with Global tax team, share required details and imbibe best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize effective tax rates and cash tax flows. Monitor effective tax rates.
  • Keeping up to date with changes to compliance requirements and sharing knowledge and updates.
  • Provide guidance and support to the team
, *Desired Candidate Profile:
  • The ideal candidate should be a qualified Chartered Accountant with strong tax acumen having at least 13 years of post-qualification relevant tax experience preferably at a large multinational organization with manufacturing setup.
  • The candidate should have an experience of corporate tax, transfer pricing and international tax including interpreting tax treaties.
  • The candidate should have sound understanding of ERPs such as SAP, ORACLE etc.
  • The candidate must be a person of integrity who subscribes to high business ethical standards.
  • The candidate should have project management skills, interpersonal skills, communication skills and analytical skills. The candidate should have the experience of independently managing key stakeholders at leadership level.
  • The candidate should be self-motivated and able to take initiatives.
  • The candidate should be business oriented with proven ability to understand and appreciate business requirements and challenges, anticipate the issues and proactively provide solutions.
  • The candidate should have the experience of handling and mentoring a mid-sized team.
