Mar 23, 2017 This position is a member of the Corp IT responsible for Quality Assurance for external websites. The role is responsible for creating and executing and managing QA test plans for our web applications. Responsibilities include obtaining and analyzing software requirements, executing tests against new system features and enhancements, and creating manual and automated regression test scripts.Senior Engineer/ Subject Matter Expert - Quality Assurance Testing | Opportunities March 23, 2017 Role and Responsibilities Review functional requirements and user stories and design test plans, write test cases, oversee test strategies and perform testing for assigned Tasks/ Features. Enter and verify bugs/ defects in TFS, maintains documentation of test cases, and provides clear and concise feedback on bugs, usability and other test findings/ results. Lead triage, drive bug ownership and re- test bugs. Execute and provide analysis of load testing, performance testing. Thoroughly test web applications through all phases of the development life cycle (functional testing, regression/ integration testing, sanity, end- to- end testing, and performance testing) Develops and executes manual and automated tests Identify and prepare test cases for automation after manual testing Contributes to product and process improvements and refinement of QA best practices. The ability to understand technical specifications, write test cases based on design specifications, and execute test cases Up- to- date with current web application testing standards Collaborate with developers early on in the testing process to develop test plans and write testcases and scripts. Outside of business hours support to ensure a smooth roll out of releases. Required Experience / skill 3- 5 years of experience = Senior Engineer - Quality Assurance Testing 5- 7 years of experience = Subject Matter Expert - Quality Assurance Testing BS in CS or equivalent degree or related work experience. 3+ 1- 2 years of demonstrated QA skills such as test planning, writing test specifications, ad hoc and planned test execution, bug isolation, troubleshooting and bug reporting. Have knowledge of testing strategies/ methodologies that can be applied in websites and web application testing. Be able to distinguish between user error and actual application bugs. Experience with Selenium software testing framework Understanding of Selenium IDE, client API, selenium web driver Experience in building testing frameworks and developing automation tests using Coded UI. Experience testing Web services, and Web API. Excellent analytical and problem solving skill. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Ability to hold self and others accountable for results in a respectful and constructive manner Experience testing with mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, android etc.) preferred. Ability to manage own time and work effectively with other team members. Strong understanding of cross- browser compatibility issues and workarounds Good understanding of code versioning tools, such as TFS/ GIT. Experience with web testing, web traffic monitoring tools like Selenium, Fiddler, Wireshark, Postman, etc. Good troubleshooting skills A strong work- ethic, are collaborative, reliable and a self- starter Preferred Skills Knowledge of Selenium and Coded UI automation testing tool. CMS and Web application testing experience.
