Job Description

The role

The Wintel Engineer position at SoftwareONE Gurgaon, India represents a key area in the organization s ability to keep pace with the IT needs of Internal Users, Direct Customers, Partners and Strategic Publisher Partners. SoftwareONE and the additional global subsidiaries anticipate the need to manage hyper-growth for the next several years. IT infrastructure is considered one of the cornerstone areas for supporting this hyper-growth.

What we need to see from you
  • 5-8 years of profound and proven understanding of Windows Server Operating Systems 2012, 2012R2, 2016, 2019.
  • 5-8 years of in depth understanding, configuring and operating of Active Directory Core Services, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, etc.
  • Should act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for one or more technologies including but not limited to Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, Application Infrastructure, Microsoft Certificate Services (PKI), PowerShell or any other equivalent scripting knowledge.
  • Experience in administering Azure Active Directory
  • Good to have knowhow around SCCM/Endpoint Configuration Manager, ICINGA monitoring, Antivirus (Trend Micro Deep Security) and Vulnerability Management.
  • Work on administrative Wintel tasks related to Server Maintenance or alerts coming from monitoring tools.
  • Ensures that the Service Level Agreement is met for the operations of the IT infrastructure.
  • Keep IT infrastructure documentation up to date.
  • Follow Incident, Request, Problem, Change, Access Management processes based on ITIL and our IT-service management tool.
  • Take ownership, troubleshoot and resolve service/critical outages as they occur and follow up with after action reviews and root cause analysis.
  • Ensure that all systems are backed up to meet the business Recovery Point Objectives (RPO).
  • Conduct regular capacity planning assessments and provide recommendations to the Plan and Build teams.
  • Improve service availability and performance by continuously fine tuning systems and services, applying patches/updates, executing and monitoring maintenance jobs.
  • Monitor and measure system performance and resources, and if needed, make certain suggestions for optimal capacity and availability for the business IT infrastructure.
  • Understand and operate within company policies and procedures
