Position Summary - In this role you will be working on CGM s Futures execution platform. We need your technical skills and experience as our mid - level java developer. This is a great opportunity for developers to build a challenging and rewarding career within the investment banking space.Core Responsibilities - Implement the technical solutions for the next generation data platformHands - on Java developmentDevelop a deep understanding of the internal data domains and systemsEngage with technical and non - technical stakeholders at other geographic centres around the world effectively to drive the right solutions in line with the target architectureTake ownership of operational issues and perform both short - term resolution , and development of preventive measures for the longer termResponsible for application flow , including configuration , scheduling control and scripting.Proactively monitor system health and respond to alerts to provide high availability and performance of the application set including automation of health checks.Responsible for Problem , Change , Incident management and automation of application / system monitoringEssential Characteristics - Core Requirement Filters:Strong technical expertise in Java 6 or above , collection framework , Concurrency , memory management etc.Good knowledge of Spring , Spring boot , Junit , Unix / Linux scripting skills.Good knowledge of DB (Sybase / Oracle) and should be able to write complex DB queries.Willing to work in different time zones , if neededbackground in any of the following languages (Sybase preferred)Other Characteristics: (Nice to have)skills / exposure:FIXMQ / Message queueEMS (execution platforms)Financial markets experience , Futures (ideally) or Equities trading business / QA knowledge combined with EMS / OMS experience specifically Fidessa enterpriseThe Corporate Operations Group (COG) brings together specialist support services including workplace , human resources , market operations and technology.
