Job Description

L1 Support Engineer Job DescriptionCandidate must have good understanding of the various Microsoft servers such as IIS Server, SQL Servers. Should have at least two years of experience on Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016 and on SQL Servers. Candidate will be required to work in rotation shift and will be working based on the Shift Roaster. Candidate will be required to work 24 days in a month. Other National and regional Holidays Candidate will be able to take, if business requires presence than Compensatory off can be granted for working on the Holiday.Roles & Responsibilities

  • Alert monitoring on the servers.
  • Handle first level tickets from the HR team to ensure appropriate process was followed for usage of the application. Ask user to raise the ticket with required details to do triage on the issue reported
  • Must understand the application functional flow to troubleshooting the reported issues.
  • Should be able to do 1st level issue identification by verifying logs in the IIS, SQL & application logs and relevant details in the SQL tables.
  • Should be able to turn around the 1st level trouble shooting within two hours of SLA
  • Escalate to L2 support team member with all evidence of 1st level of trouble shooting carried out & seek help to close the issue within L2 support window.
  • Should be able to troubleshoot API Integration related issue, Biometric devices not connected to servers.
Technical skills requirements
  • Understand the application and should be able to simulate issue in UAT/Pre-prod environment.
  • Should be able to interpret Windows System, Application & Security logs for the impact on the application
  • Knowledge of IIS configuration,
  • Knowledge of utilities (such as telnet) for verification of connectivity between servers, APIs, SMTP server etc. ,
  • Creation of database and user management
  • Changes and verification of data in SQL database tables.
  • Knowledge of SLQ server, ASP.Net, MVC.
For L2 Support
  • Should be more from development background as should be able to debug application.
