Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Analysis, software design and implementation to validate and optimize DWDM, OTN based networks, which are designed based on a variety of parameters
  • Apply design principles to work in microservice-based development environment and keeping in mind performance and memory constraints.
  • Work collaboratively with Product Owner, Product Line Manager (PLM) and Verification.
  • Complete assigned development tasks including unit testing and documenting work
  • Translate functional requirements into development tasks and provide project manager accurate time estimates for completion
  • Troubleshooting and debugging of reported issues
  • Keep yourself abreast with latest technology trends
General Activities
  • Feature analysis and discussion with product owners to understand and frame the detailed requirements with design estimates.
  • Work in Agile Scrum and create/update Jira s with detailed description, DoD & acceptance criteria.
  • Design and Implementation
  • Unit testing & integration testing.
  • Work with product verification team in resolving feature defects.

Experience Candidate should have 6+ years of experience in following:
  • End-to-end software development (requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and support) - Critical
  • Languages, Tools
    • React.js, HTML 5, CSS, SASS / SCSS Critical
    • ES6 / ES7 Advanced Javascript, Object Oriented Javascript - Critical
    • Knowledge of Unit Testing Frameworks like Mocha, Chai, Karma, Jasmine Critical
    • Knowledge of Git -Critical
    • E2E Tools E.g. Protractor- Desirable
    • Knowledge of Build Tools Webpack, babel, make Desirable
    • Experience with Third party JS libraries Google Maps, D3 - Desirable
    • Dynamic Languages - Python Desirable
    • Knowledge of Web Sockets, Authentication, Web Security
  • Platform
    • Dockers, Linux, MicroServices
    • Web Server - NGINX
    • Message Queues like Kafka
  • Client/Server
    • REST API, Web Services, SOAP - Desirable
  • Decent Knowledge of Data Structures - Desirable
