Job Description

    Working independently,designs, develops and fabricates from originaldesigns, prints,sketches orverbal/conceptual descriptions, complex high-precision mechanical equipment, models andinstruments as specified or required for special research applications, requiring knowledge of the lawsand principles of mechanical engineering.Roles and Responsibilities :-1.Consults withand advisesresearchers concerningdevelopment ofspecial instrumentsand devicesrequired to accomplish research/educational goals;assists in planning new laboratories.2.Diagnoses,repairsor rebuildsequipmentandinstruments asrequired.3.Recruits, trains,supervises, evaluates, schedulesand assignswork toshop personnelengaged intheconstruction of routine and complex projects.4.Plans, organizesand conducts machine shop safety courses andcertifies shop users arequalified touse equipment and machinery.5.Recommends budgetrequests for shopequipmentand supplies;estimates laborand materialcostsfor each project.6.Oversees useof shop facilities bystudents, staff andfaculty to assureproper usage ofequipmentaccording to prescribed safety standards.Is responsiblefor the safetyof all shopactivities; sets up andmaintains safety programand machinerymaintenance program; initiating corrective action as necessary.Supervises, coordinatesand schedulesshop projectsto meetdeadlines andrequests, evaluatingandassigning priorities to individual projects.Interested Direct Call or Whats app :- hidden_mobile
