Job Description

*The main responsibilities of the Global Privacy Records Manager are managing and maintaining: CWT s data inventory and data flow maps, including project-managing the delivery, development and long-term sustenance of applied tools, processes, documentation and data quality; CWT s privacy records, tools, processes, documentation and data quality, In order to fully support a compliant group global privacy program. In carrying out his/her duties, the Global Privacy Records Manager will maintain operational processes required in relation to the CWT s global data governance, accountability, quality and management framework and practices.Essential duties:

  • Develop, project-manage and maintain to the highest quality standards a fully comprehensive global inventory of personal data processing activities and data lifecycle; and geographical personal data flow maps through software tools and processes against set legal requirements and timelines
  • Manage and maintain to the highest quality standards privacy records, tools, processes, technical documentation and data quality through software tools and processes against set legal requirements and timelines
  • Manage data inventory, data flows and privacy records in accordance with the group s global privacy program
  • Perform data analysis to assess data quality gaps in current and planned applications, systems and business processes
  • Develop and implement remediation plans and reports, and escalate issues in accordance with governance structure
  • Develop, project -manage and drive a network of operational and business data owners across functions and geographical locations for the purposes of data inventory and privacy records
  • Syndicate key issues with stakeholders and coordinate resolution with business teams
  • Report dashboard and metrics to Group Global Privacy Officer
  • Provide support and training to stakeholders and employees in relation to process and technical documentation
  • Support at operational level and as directed by Group Global Privacy Officer, the data governance, accountability, quality and management framework and practices of the group
  • Run from an operational level the Data Governance Working Group in relation to data inventory and privacy records
  • Manage one supporting human resources report (global privacy records analyst) dedicated to data lifecycle gap analysis and data inventory maintenance

  • Bachelors or higher degree in the field of Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science/ Engineering or other quantitative related fields in an accredited college or university OR appropriate combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years experience of technical projects including project/change management in complex international and matrix environments, interfacing between different functions (one of which must be IT/Data Science) including issue management and reporting
  • Languages
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
  • Ability to communicate in French both written and verbal as second language is an advantage
Knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs)
  • Proven experience and advanced knowledge of data processing and data analysis in enterprise software applications and computer/outsourced systems.
  • Proven experience and advanced knowledge in project management
  • Exceptionally self-motivated, analytical, evaluative, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and across functions at global and local levels in a fast-paced environment
  • Extremely organized with strong communication and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to translate, and problem-solve, complex concepts and technology solutions into plain language for a wide audience
  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships and influence/negotiate with internal and external stakeholders such as contractors and vendors
  • Ability to manage records management and data inventory
  • Resourceful, action-oriented with the ability to get things done and overcome obstacles against tight deadlines
  • Ability to work in a matrix, collaborative environment as a team player
