Job Description

  • With a passion for delivering mid to large scale finance change projects, you will have the opportunity to work with a high performing projects team as a Business Analyst.
  • Your core responsibilities will include requirement gathering, supporting solution design, development, functional testing and production of project artefacts.
  • You ll work collaboratively with the finance function as well as other teams such as technology, systems operations, and data and transformation.
  • You ll communicate regularly with the project manager and/or the work stream leads to provide accurate and timely status updates, including any areas that are slowing the project and areas of improvement.
  • You will facilitate workshops to gather requirements from business users and translate those requirements into project plans. You will follow the Agile way of working involving incremental delivery and multiple feedback loops.
  • You ll be working closely with the technology team to ensure they understand the requirements and interface to ensure that the build is in line with the expectations and is fit for use and free from defects.
  • You will also support the project manager and the scrum team with functional testing and subsequent defect resolution.
  • You ll demonstrate resilience and effectively manage ambiguity related to the projects and manage multiple stakeholders where you ll have focused and quality interactions to drive decisions and mitigate project risks.
  • You ll also be responsible for producing, enhancing and maintaining project artefacts such as business requirements document.
  • To be successful in this role you should have a tertiary qualification preferably CA, or a Bachelor of Commerce with CPA / ICWA/ MBA.
  • You should also have 6-8 years of post-qualification experience, with 4-6 years of relevant experience in business analysis in regulatory change projects.
  • You should have expertise to deliver system change projects and ability to coordinate multiple assignments and work independently.
  • You should also have strong documentation skills with the ability to produce fit for purpose project artefacts.
  • Exposure to reporting tools like Axiom, ICE, IRIS, TM1, Moody s analytics, etc. is important along with knowledge of other applications such as MS Visio, advanced Excel, Alteryx and PowerPoint. Formal training in business analysis and certification such as CCBA or CBAP is desirable.
