ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Knowledge of design codes and standards applicable for Pipe Stress Analysis design work
Knowledge of design codes and standards applicable for Pipe Support design work
Identify different stress packages through review of PIDs / Line Designation tables.
Very good and in-depth Knowledge of stress analysis software s like Caesar 2, Autopipe, Rohr 2 etc. it s applicability and interpretation.
Prepare Stress Design Criteria for projects
Expertise in static and dynamic analysis (spectrum- Response spectrum/relief load, Time -force spectrum, time-force history analysis) of the critical systems.
Expertise in pipe stress analysis for different equipment like Steam turbine, Compressors, Centrifugal Pumps, tanks, exchangers, heaters, columns, etc.
Perform AIV / FIV related stress analysis and calculations
Very good and in-depth Knowledge of critical pipe support systems
Resolution of high equipment nozzle loads and high secondary stresses in piping
Expertise in selection of spring hangers, snubbers, struts for piping systems
Preparation and interpretation/review of stress calculations of relatively complex nature in high seismic zones.
Evaluation of local stresses via code cases like N318, N392, and WRC107/297.
Support structure calculations using tools like STADD
Perform welding calculations
Review and sign-off piping isometrics considering flexibility and supporting
Prepare complete documentation of the stress analysis and support design.
Participates in reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data from suppliers
Expertise in stress analysis of piping stress systems for various types of projects i,e. LNG, refinery, petrochemical, chemical, power, pipelines etc.
Sound knowledge about other engineering interface disciplines like process, structural, mechanical equipment, pipelines etc. and has the capability to conduct Integrated analysis.
Provides technical direction and assigns work to engineers, designers, and drafters who assist on specific assignments.
Experience in failure analysis, trouble shooting and construction management is necessary.
Exposure to FEM analysis and ability to train teams on advance stress analysis tools- FEM Analysis, FEPipe, FESIF, FEBend, NozzlePro etc.
Well versed with international codes, standards and best engineering practices, including ASME Section-VIII Div-1 Div-2 calculations, stress analysis for bowing conditions.
Experience in analysis of buried piping, jacketed piping, refractory lined piping, very high temperature / pressure and Cryogenic piping.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
A recognized degree in a job-related engineering or scientific discipline from an accredited college or university, or a professional license from a recognized licensing board, or specialized courses in relevant general engineering, design or an appropriate engineering discipline.
