Job Description

Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant SOC2 TesterResource will be responsible for assisting control owner & application teams to complete audit readiness program for SOC2 certification. Completing assessment for all five pillars and provide gap analysis report to the Business. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Solid understanding and experience with SOC2 and other IT controls (including the design and operational efficiency of such controls as it relates to Readiness preparations and final Examination activities)
  • Heavy understanding of internal and external (Including PCI DSS, SOC1, SOC2, Information Security) auditing techniques.
  • Knowledge of Information Security standard methodologies, audit frameworks and possibly privacy laws - familiarity with ISO 27000 series, SANS, NIST, OWASP Top 10, COBIT, CIS Top 20, PCI, CCPA.
  • Senior-level auditing and advisory work to develop a new audit program and processes for SOC2.
  • Conduct research, benchmarking, examining and reviewing records & financial statements.
  • Perform data & risk analyses, identify appropriate controls, assess business processes, and evaluate management processes.
  • Handle the development of an appropriate audit scope, selection of an external auditor, and successful completion of audits annually.
  • Continuously collect operational documentation and data samples in order to close process gaps or to document accepted risk before a gap becomes a finding.
  • Manage relationships with our external auditors to anticipate changes to audit focuses and prepare the organization for them.
  • Educate the organization about audit requirements, risk analysis and controls, and assist us with integrating standard methodologies into our existing operational framework.
  • Identify and document corrective actions that need to be taken based on audit reports.
  • Respond to client requests for documentation of our processes and audit reports.
  • Attend weekly status meetings and track remediation activities
  • Document remediation instructions and derailed Gap analysis report.
Certifications
  • CISSP, CISM, are preferred
Prerequisites
  • Ability to converse and coordinate with varied security and application support teams
  • Ability to explain security terminologies to non-technical users and make them understand the need for security remediation
  • Significant experience patching systems, working with installing/removing application software.
  • Significant experience in system/OS administration Windows and Linux
  • Strong experience with cloud technologies Azure and AWS
  • Strong background in vulnerability remediation
  • Knowledge of some or all the following tools (Strong in at least one): Opsware, System Automation, Chef, Java, JavaScript, Python, bash scripting, AWS architectures, Docker
  • Knowledge of some or all the following security principals: OIDC, OAuth, OWASP top ten, OS hardening, OT network hardening, manufacturing security
Qualifications we seek in you!
  • Bachelors Degree required. Preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Lead auditor Certification
Preferred qualifications
  • Very good written and presentation / verbal communication skills with experience of customer interfacing role. In-depth requirement understanding skills with good analytical and problem solving ability, interpersonal efficiency, and positive attitude
