About the opportunityJob DescriptionDepartment DescriptionThis role is for a highly motivated PM in the Retail technology team in India, which is supporting the initiatives undertaken for UK Retail Technology- AWS Tribe.The PM will be working for Retail Capability- AWS tribe portfolio in India helping to undertake various strategic, BAU, regulatory, EOL projects as and when they happen.Purpose of your roleThe vacancy is for a highly motivated Project Manager who will be responsible for end to end delivery of software products (systems, applications and platforms) for use by FIL s clients. The successful candidate shall oversee all aspects of an engagement(s) using planning, monitoring and controlling processes as per the Fidelity guidelines and standards, and shall be responsible for completion of projects on time, on budget and meeting the requirements. To this end, PM will perform a variety of tasks including coordinating all resources and stakeholders, planning and setting milestones, assigning responsibilities and monitoring, creating high performing project teams and form excellent working relationships with senior customer representatives across multiple business and System teams.The right candidate will

Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Management
  • Communicate the product s long and short term priorities across the organization in the form of product roadmap and focus on delivering a Minimum Viable version
  • Break down the business inputs into granular stories that deliver incremental value and help stitch together the return on investment as those stories get delivered.
  • Keep the backlog recent and be able to say No
Delivery
  • Deploy Agile delivery methods, eXtreme programming, elastic infra/Cloud preference, micro-services enabled APIs and 12-factor app principles, working in a largely DevOps culture, to deliver great products
  • Work towards achieving a relatively constant and predictable velocity and frequent smaller releases to deliver expected value.
  • Deliver features with high test automation and ensure deployments into production on demand and independent of interfacing products
  • Work collaboratively with other teams and keep business stakeholders sufficiently involved during delivery of features.
People
  • Lead a team comprising of poly-skilled people with ability to work across different technology stacks
  • Foster a culture whereby team members are empowered to make decisions in the best interest of the product and willingly take high personal accountability for their decisions & actions
  • Guide the team such that they embrace the constructs of a high-performing, self-organising team ensuring team goals take precedence over individual goals
  • Facilitate intelligent risk taking and use every mistake as a team learning opportunity. Encourage people to think out of the box and challenge norms smartly without diluting quality and controls in the production environment
  • Continuously communicate within the team to ensure clear visibility and understanding of their individual roles and growth aspirations.
  • Lead by example and earn the respect of your team use principles from servant-leader concept.
Experience and Qualifications
  • BE / B-Tech / MCA / Any Graduate .
  • Overall 10 years experience with at least 5 year experience in software delivery & project management, handling small to mid-sized teams
Essential Skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to teach and learn from others
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and navigate complex decision making
  • Experience in delivering and maintaining products (including 3rd party vendor apps) with cross geography teams is a plus
  • Experience of tools like Atlassian suite, Pivotal Tracker, Basecamp etc. is desired.
  • Good working experience delivering enterprise applications across technology stacks like modern programming languages (like Java, .Net, Python etc), Integration technologies (MQ, WMB), Data (Oracle, Informatica, DB2, Cassandra, MongoDB etc), Cloud (Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS, Azure etc) and DevOps tools (Splunk, NewRelic, Geneos etc)
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment
Desirable Skills
  • Good communication, influencing & negotiation skills. Self-motivated, flexible, responsible, and a penchant for quality.
