About the opportunityDepartment DescriptionThe risk team in Fidelity covers the management oversight of Fidelity s risk profile including key risk frameworks, policies and procedures and oversight and challenge processes. The team partner with the businesses to ensure Fidelity manages its risk profile within defined risk appetite.The team is circa 50-strong, and growing, covering all facets of risk management including investment, operational, enterprise, and technology risk.Investment Risk Operations Investment Risk Operations team sits within the Global Risk function and is responsible for monitoring Investment risk associated with Fund Liquidity, Counterparties and Client Investment Flows monitorin. As a team we are primarily responsible for churning huge datasets and achieve oversight and controls through Reporting and Analytics. We adhere to fast paced Agile delivery methodology for our projects and use Power BI/Power Apps, SQL and Python for our products and dashboards.Purpose of the RoleWorking as part of an expanding and global team in Risk Operations to support Strategic Transformation and Change activities across Risk, partnering with Business and Technology to deliver data visualisation and reporting capabilities to the Investment Risk and Analytics and Investment Risk Oversight teams. Provide day on day support towards the management of data in the data visualisation and reporting tools and maintenance of the respective Sharepoint sites for Investment Risk.Key ResponsibilitiesData Visualisation

• Creating refined data model in Poiwer BI with efficient measures and DAX to achive complex filtering and aggregations
• Work with the Investment Risk teams to assist in the design and development of Power BI dashboards
• Assist in the development of test cases/scenarios for user acceptance testing of the Power BI dashboards
• Ongoing maintenance and support on the Investment Risk workspaces
• Work with Technology to build underlying data platform and set up appropriate security and access levels for users in Power BI
• Support the ongoing maintenance of the dashboards as appropriate
• Apply best practice data visualisation and user experience principles in solution design

Reporting

• Data Analysis using SQL and Python for identifying null/missing value and define data quality for reports/analytics
• Support the delivery of reporting enhancements and improvements for Investment Risk including developing reports in Power BI Report Builder, or other reporting tools as appropriate
• Provide ongoing support in the production of daily, monthly, quarterly reports and management information as appropriate

Data Management and Sharepoint maintenance

• Working with Investment Risk and Technology teams as appropriate to design and develop the underlying data structures for data flows feeding Power BI
• Support the development of Product Hub metrics to monitor data quality of Product Hub fields/attributes
• Support the ongoing maintenance and improvements of Investment Risk documentation on Sharepoint.

Experience and Qualifications Required

• University level education or equivalent
• Minimum of two years experience in one of the following areas: technology, risk operations, middle and back office operations
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2012 for SQL queries and data analysis
• Expert Power BI and working knowledge of other data visualisation tools - Tableau is preferred
• Basic data analysis and data cleansing technique using Python, Pandas will be preferred but not mandatory
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Sharepoint
• Takes ownership for work, always ensuring standards and deadlines are met and keeping others informed and up-to-date
• Ability to organise and work well under pressure, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
