Job Description

Position & Team Overview:This position is part of the Digital Transformation team within Global Service Transformation, Traveler Care. The Digital Transformation team is responsible to design & deploy digital solutions within Traveler Care, specifically focusing on Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions.The Digital Transformation team also supports the Product & Technology Strategy group in evaluating various digital solutions to improve operational efficiencies & customer experience.This role will be part of the global Digital Transformation team for the Panorama program. The Panorama program is a global project expected to operate over the next 1-3 years. This position duration is a minimum of 1 year and a maximum of 3 years.We are a dynamic team of passionate specialists involved in designing & creating the newest solutions for Traveler Care. We are looking for a team player with positive attitude & focus to cope with challenges on a regular basis.You should be passionate about using technology to solve business problem and are comfortable working with internal/external clients and their end users in translating their needs to technical teams. You have deep experience working across multiple time zones, multicultural teams, complex technology projects.Primary ResponsibilitiesExcellent requirements gathering skills, ability to capture business processes using both existing process documentation and process walk through with the staff performing the process Analyze and question existing processes to ensure a full and correct understanding is gained including business & system exceptions Understanding of workflow based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualize it as an automated solution Ability to build a business case using existing process time & motion and potential future solutions Good inter-personal communication skills, communicating with subject matter experts, business process owners, internal & external development teams to help ensure the automated solution is developed optimally Strong knowledge of the travel industry & involved technologies and GDS systemsSecondary ResponsibilitiesAbility to evaluate customer and stakeholder needs when developing recommendations Familiarity in business process re-engineering and change management Build and provide inputs to POA process flows for BRDs and solution design documents Design specifications for interface touchpoints to customer applications, like APIs, Web services etc. Works collaboratively with business analysts & test teams and drive them to deliver on time & as per specifications Take responsibility for project activities including work estimation, planning, stakeholder management and project quality Working within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the delivery/ project manager accordingly and providing inputs to the change control process.Skill Set & Background

  • Reservation, Ticketing, GDS, CRS, Airlines, PSS expertise must have
  • Advanced skills in analyzing, gathering, designing, developing documentation for technical teams to translate into application code / development
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good understanding of technology & functional architectural concepts
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Ability to create technical documentation
  • Strong team-player and self-started attitude
  • Creating and documenting test procedures and scenarios for the testing phases
Competencies & Technical Skills Known
  • 6 years of GDS, Airlines and Travel Domain experience
