Senior Business Systems Analyst

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

• Analyze and visualize data on a project basis to enhance operational efficiency for a global healthcare company
• Lead and perform complex analysis in an evolving data environment
• Work with all constituents throughout the implementation process from initial engagement to delivery of application solutions
• Work with internal and external customers to elicit requirements and work with trading partners to conduct testing and rollout activities
• Work with developers to translate requirements in to functional and technical design documents and follow established Waterfall/Agile SDLC processes for testing and implementation
• Communicate with business/domain expert, product managers and developers to ensure translation of requirements to IT solutions
• Conduct analysis to ensure quality of data at various stages of its evolution
• Produce analytical reports and studies that are made available to a wide variety of constituents, including oversight bodies, and internal and external stakeholders
• Translate data into meaningful information
• Develop visual concepts and data visualizations and coordinate the design of print, web, or multimedia data and information reporting products
• Perform proof of concept analyses
• Investigate and responds to routine or standard requests
• Solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions
• Complete projects that require data mining, analysis, and presentation
• Focus On solutions, dive into projects, quickly identify drivers in the data
• Identify relevant trends, do follow-up analysis, prepare visualizations
• Develop dashboards to track remediation of issues Requirements
• Assist with the extraction, transformation and load specifications and business logic into application database
• Communicate with clients and developers to define and validate data extraction specifications
• Create algorithms to data mine member, claims and COB data
• Anticipate customer needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in MIS, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business or a related field
• Minimum 5-8 years of working knowledge of SQL, SSRS/SSIS/Tableau or any other reporting tool
• 4-7 years of total experience in BI and Analytics
• 6+ years of data analysis experience
• Experience in statistical modeling, data mining and Business Intelligence with SAS or any another tool
• Experience in generating insights by conducting extensive analyses of rich healthcare data
• Experience writing and assessing business requirements documents
• Working Familiarity with any one tool like SSRS, Tableau, Excel, Qlickview
• Proficient with MS Excel, Tableau
• Very strong technical skills
• Superb business process analysis and interpersonal skills
• Excellent with innovation and taking initiatives
• Excellent Visual design sense regarding clear and accurate presentation of data
• Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills in order to meet multiple deadlines; comfortable working in a high-paced/high production area

• Proficiency in end to end analytics
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, technical, cross functional environment
• Ability to work projects from inception to completion
• Ability to maintain understanding of numerous client processes

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the health care industry analyzing claims and member data
• Coordination of Benefits (COB) experience
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational database systems
