Job Description

    Position : Senior Java Developer (India)Directly reports to : Engineering Manager (India)Functional Reports (dotted-line) to : Software Development Manager (UK)Direct reports : NoneRegularly interacts with :- Internal- Project Manager- Product Architect- Product Manager- Software Team Members- Hardware Team Members- Test Team MembersPrimary location : Gurgaon, India.Role Description /Primary Responsibilities : As a Senior Java developer, you will be required to work on our Java database application to provide a Web Interface and Web Services for the Machine-to-Machine industry to develop our new IPv6 based platform, using the very latest technologies and open standards (IPv6, CoAP, Web Services, etc.).Experience and Skills required :1. Essential Skills and Experience :- Commercial experience of 5-8 years in Java programming- 5-8 years of experience with Hibernate framework- 3-5 years of experience with Spring Framework (core, web, data, security, batch, message queue)- At least 2 years of through understanding of React.js and its core principles- 1-2 years of experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)- Experience working in a continuous automation / deployment / delivery environment- Good understanding of APIs and REST- Experience with Git or other similar SCM systems- Experience with Relational Database is required like MYSQL- Experience with application development using J2SE and J2EE is required- Experience taking a leading role in building complex software systems2. Desirable Skills and Experience :- Knowledge of Material UI- Experience with Eclipse or IntelliJ- Experience with H/A architecture- Experience with developing SDKs- Experience with security protocols (TLS, DTLS, PKI, etc)- Experience with Python, C and C++ is an advantage- Experience with Agile development methodologiesPersonal attributes :- Highly motivated self-starter.- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.- Strong long-term commitment to making the company a success.- Able to identify risks and estimate work.- Able to time-box development and spikes, effectively trading off time, quality, and scope.Qualifications :- Required : Good degree in technical subject (computer science, engineering, or natural sciences).- Preferred : Higher degree in technical subject (computer science, engineering, or natural sciences).,
