Job Description

    • Liaise with Internal stakeholders/Teams to ensure that respective team is adhering to regulatory compliances required under various applicable laws & rules.
    • Coordinate with respective stakeholders for completing various controls and audits performed by statutory audit, Internal Audit, Data Privacy Audit, Risk, Legal & Secretariat etc.
    • Support functions to attend any inspections and notices of Government Authorities; preparing replies and follow-ups for the closure report of the same.
    • Timely updation of the Compliance Tracker, keep a track of the status of all new and/or open inspections/ notices issued by regulators/ Court/ any other authority, make a heatmap for the presentation to the Risk Committee, Board of Directors and other internal platforms.
    • Helping Teams to understand and articulate required modifications in relation to any Notification/Circular/ Rules/ change in the legal provisions on the applicable compliances, supervising implementation of the changes. Update the information with action plan to India Management in relation to any change in applicable laws/ provisions to the India Management; helping Risk Team to gauge the risks, if any, involved due to the change and identification of timelines for implementation of the change in the existing compliance processes.
    • Liaise with Consultants for Compliance tracker in relation to new Notifications/Rules, discussion on inclusion of those in the Compliance Tracker and assigning Risk category to those.
    • Support Country Management in assurance testing of applicable compliances, global reporting including OPERA and support in Local Risk Acceptance discussions and documentations
    • Conduct regular gap analysis on current compliance related process and recommend change where necessary.
    • Provide recommendations to remedy any control failings/gaps.
    • Record keeping of OPERA incidents and tracking for closure.
    • Undertake and follow up to help embed a compliant culture, to help ensure we are compliant with applicable regulations and policies.
    • Reporting and communicating the results of the compliance monitoring activities and be forward-thinking on ways to drive efficiencies across the suite of reporting and regular tasks.

    • 12+ Years of Compliance monitoring experience in a general insurance setting.
    • Experience of working within risk and control evaluation programmes in a compliance monitoring environment
    • Should have experience of working in SEZ & labor laws.
    • A very strong track record of delivery of compliance initiatives.
    • Strong planning and organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
    • Ability to maximise the use of your time through time management and prioritisation.
    • Communicate effectively with business units at all levels and develop effective working relationships.
    • Ability to work independently and to make decisions/and recommendations.
    • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
    • Ability to produce clear and accurate written information.
