We are looking for an adaptable, high performing, motivated, and self-reliant UI Software Engineer with past experience developing leading edge web applications in a cloud architecture. These applications will use hundreds of separate services and applications, via a highly adaptable web layer using the latest technologies allowing us to provide an extraordinary experience to our customers.What you ll do:Challenges you are going to work onoBuild reusable component-based web UI architectures with modern frameworks (React.js, Redux, Node etc.)oLeverage user behavior data and A/B testing to better understand our customers, fostering a community of trust to incrementally increase booking conversion rates.oDevelop features relying on event-driven data, microservices, and data science programming modelsoDevelop fast, scalable, highly available, and reliable web apps.oTranslate designs and wireframes into high quality codeoOptimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsersoBuild RESTful APIs using Node.js and Hapi.jsoDrive architectural decisions on our frontend and backend systemsoSimplify core booking and listing workflow to enhance our travelers experience. ResponsibilitiesoWork with off-shore development engineering team.oDrive new features from inception to production, working across the company with product managers, UX designers and other stakeholders.oDedicated to delivering tested and optimized high performance code for a distributed SOA environment.oCreate and maintain quality software using best-in-class tools: Git, Splunk, New Relic etc.oWork with QA, product management and operations in an agile environment.oParticipate in resolution of production issues and lead efforts toward solutions.oGrow a performant production environment in a way that makes the system increasingly reliable.oParticipate in our inner source culture (Internal Open Source) by delivering high quality code that levels up not only your team but the entire organization.oOpportunities to showcase your work on our tech blog and internal & external conferences.oConduct peer code reviews and act as a resource for junior developers.Who you are:oBachelors Degree or higher, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.o8+ years of software development experience developing web applicationsoComfortable collaborating on a multi-functional team including product management, architects, and UI designersoExperience working in an Agile/Scrum team environmentoSkilled with server-side JS frameworks (Node.js, Hapi.js, Express, etc)oSkilled with single page application JS frameworks (React.js, Redux, etc.)oSkilled in building RESTful APIsoAdept at maintaining cross-browser compatibility and debugging.oAbility to write clean & coherent code and follow established coding conventions.oExcellent verbal and written skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas.oFull stack development experience is a plusoKnowledge/experience of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Docker, TeamCity, etc.) a plus.oExperience at other fast-paced Internet companies, especially Travel companies, is a huge plus.,
