The ENS team operate globally, delivering support services using a follow-the-sun model, using teams located in UK & Europe, India, Canada and APAC.Purpose of your role:As a Team Lead within Enterprise Network Services (ENS) team, you will be assisting in the global end to end technical delivery across Fidelity s project portfolio. Close alignment with our global project resources is essential to ensure timely project delivery and accurate resource tracking against all assigned projects.In addition, you would personally own and be responsible for managing the Delivery engagement between ENS and the wider TIS & Technology group ensuring both ENS and the business strategic initiatives are closely aligned. Working closely with the ENS Engineering team you would engage in continuous feedback of services moving from engineering to delivery and finally operations.Scope of the role encompasses a large selection of products, from core networking (Cisco), datacentre networks, office networks, WAN, Wireless, Firewalls, Load Balancers, DNS, NTP as well as Voice & Video platforms.You will have a broad technical understanding, with focus on network and voice technologies and a good understanding of IT-Security policy and practices. The role expects experience of service management (incident, change & problem), supplier management, risk management, systems management (including monitoring) lifecycle management and reporting.Working with Fidelity technical team managers to establish your global network, you will and develop an understanding of the infrastructure and services and collaborate to achieve excellent customer service. The ability to work well with managers and peers within technology including project managers and senior stakeholders is fundamental; also important is the need to be able to work under pressure within a busy environment. Being capable of working effectively within a diverse, distributed, global team is essential.Your key accountabilities:

  • Team management - manage and mentor ENS Delivery staff
  • Track the risks and issues and work to actively resolve/mitigate
  • Work collaboratively to optimise resource management, cross-fertilise ideas, and resolve conflicts and bottlenecks
  • Monitor the progress of key projects and ensure regular publishing of status report and quality metrics
  • Creates and share delivery forecasts at regular intervals based on the team s velocity
  • Provide functional and technical expertise to support design and implementation work
  • Ensure delivered solutions transition into supportable services via the ready for service framework
  • Manage vendor staff as needed and according to the agreed contract(s)
  • Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure all services meet expectation and SLA
  • Contribute to ENS strategic plan/direction - including our goals, risks and resources
  • Responsible for supporting ENS Operations (as required)
  • Embed TIS Project Delivery best practises, principles, standards and lifecycle with your peers and global network team
  • Support and influence new ways of working, aligned with TIS Delivery within the global ENS team
  • Collaboration with Engineering more broadly across technology infrastructure to ensure strategy and engineering standards align with broader strategy
  • Support large scale projects with technical leadership and decision making
  • Act as key point of contact for project portfolio within the team and Fidelity and evangelise capabilities and encourage improved ways of working and improving integration.

Desirable skills/qualifications:
  • Professional and managerial qualifications (against relevant technologies).
  • Understanding of the PCI Security Standard, also the ISO20000 and ISO27001 standards.
  • Project Management (Agile) qualifications and experience.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and analysis tools (Nectar, SolarWinds, Wireshark, etc).
