Job Description

    Job overview The ServiceNow Engineer will lead in-depth research and development of new features of ServiceNow, to continue improving the experience and productivity of Avery Dennison team members. The ServiceNow Engineer will also liaise with the infrastructure teams and outsource partner to put in governance and best practices on ServiceNow configurations, customizations and use of out-of-box features. The ideal candidate will enjoy taking up challenges and problem solving.Key responsibilities will include:
    • Gathering and analysing requirements from stakeholders. Helping stakeholders understand ServiceNow out-of-box capabilities and impact from customization requirements.
    • Researching into current industry trends and future capabilities that will improve user experience and productivity and making recommendations.
    • Leading and liaising with outsource partners, and cross functional departments. Delivering to stakeholder expectations.
    • Being creative in integrating ServiceNow with other productivity tools, and enhancing capabilities of the ServiceNow platform.
    • Providing guidance and best practice advice.
    Skills
    • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
    • Strong technical design skills on ServiceNow deliverables.
    • Experienced in administering and configuring ServiceNow ITSM and ITAM products.
    • Experienced in creating and updating ServiceNow Service catalog items, Record Producers, and Ordered Guide. Able to perform code review.
    • Experienced in ServiceNow ITOM modules: Discovery, Event Management and CMDB Data model.
    • Deep knowledge and development skills in ServiceNow platform, Flow Designer etc.
    • Experience in managing and coordinating ServiceNow instance upgrades and patching.
    • Strong understanding of computer hardware and data center infrastructure.
    • Experience in using ServiceNow plug-ins and store applications.
    • Experience in setting up ACL on ServiceNow.
    • Past experience working with ServiceNow multi-lingual and internationalization preferred.
    • Create SOP, policy and procedure documents. Document governance and best practices around the development and configuration of ServiceNow platform and products.
    • Good interpersonal skills to form strong partnerships across functional groups at Avery Dennison.
    • Capable of managing small to medium sized projects with dynamic scope, planning, tracking, risk assessment and mitigation.
    • Capable of adapting to various project management methodology: agile, waterfall or hybrid.
    • Knowledge in ServiceNow HRSD, SAM, SecOps will be preferred.
    • Working knowledge of software licensing models.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Past experience working from user or employee experience preferred.
    • Willing to work flexible business hours.
