Job Description

  • You will take ownership and accountability of specific modules within an application and provides technical support and guidance during solution design for new requirements, problem resolution for critical / complex issues
  • You will Ensures code is maintainable, scalable and supportable.
  • You will present demos of the software products to stakeholders and internal/external customers, using knowledge of the product/solution and technologies to influence the direction and evolution of the product/solution.
  • You will investigate issues by reviewing/debugging code and providing fixes (analyzes and fixes bugs) and workarounds, will review changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions, will highlight risks and will help mitigate risks from technical aspects.
  • You will bring continuous improvements/efficiencies to the software or business processes by utilizing software engineering tools and various innovative techniques, and reusing existing solutions. By means of automation, reduces design complexity, reduces time to response, and simplifies the client/end-user experience.
  • You will represent/lead discussions related to product / application / modules / team (for example, leads technical design reviews). Builds relationships with internal customers/stakeholders
  • 5 years of experience in design and debug of multi-threaded Java applications
  • 5 years of experience in design and debug of SW applications using network or access protocols such as DIAMETER, RADIUS, LDAP, SOAP, REST, HTTP, TCP, UDP
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and database platforms (eg. TimesTen, Oracle, Postgres)
  • Strong knowledge of XML, WSDL and experience using TCP packet captures, bash, Seagull and J-meter scripts
  • 5 years of experience in design and debug of multi-threaded C applications in network control-plane or data-plane space (if no Java experience)
  • Familiar with defensive coding approaches and application tuning to enhance and safeguard system performance, resiliency, scalability and quality
  • Experience working with architects and product owners analyzing customer requirements, and deriving design specifications
  • Experience working in a customer-oriented software delivery environment supporting both feature and maintenance releases
  • Knowledge of PCRF, PCEF, AF and OCS in 3G and LTE deployments
  • Proven self-starter with an ability to quickly master new systems and/or processes
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills with position-appropriate mentoring abilities
  • Capacity to stay organized while managing competing priorities
  • A deep commitment to product quality and customer satisfaction
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer engineering, or equivalent
