About the opportunityAbout TechnologyThe Technology function provides IT services to the Fidelity International business globally. These include the development and support of business applications that underpin our revenue, operational, compliance, finance and customer service functions. The broader organisation incorporates Infrastructure services that the firm relies on to operate on a day to day basis including data centre, networks, proximity services, security, voice, incident management and remediation.Purpose of your roleReporting to the Team Lead, the incumbent will be a member of the larger Collaboration Platform Services group with a primary focus on Automation and Collaboration technologies, currently comprising our SharePoint 2013, Office 365, Azure and other technologies as seen fit.Day to day role will be to provide technical level support, development and consultancy for the global automation and collaboration infrastructure (and related products) - with a key aim of delivering and supporting solutions that deliver maximum benefit and return on investment in our key platforms.Candidates will work closely with other service areas within TIS such as Service Desk, Desktop Services, Project Office and Engineering Delivery to ensure that appropriate tools and processes are in place to aid in their operation and improve time to market where possible.Key Responsibilities
• Work with the Manager, plus local and UK staff to provide technical and operational support for the Messaging and Active Directory infrastructure
• Help deliver service improvements without unnecessary investment in new products by working smarter, provision of better tools and better use of product set
• Improve alignment of Technology solutions with Operational areas to focus on practical delivery of solutions architecture to FIL using experience from across the Windows Server product set
• Adherence to Security Policy surrounding platform standards and provides engineering solutions to that policy as directed by the Security Product roadmap
• Ensures operational requirements are matched in the delivery of services around standards and engineering
• Owns and manages the performance and capacity management of the infrastructure
• Ensures effective communication across the department and across geographically dispersed teams
• Excellent communication at all levels
Experience & Qualifications
• 7 years on supporting Exchange and Active Directory
• Excellent Exchange 2010 administration & management experience
• Excellent Active Directory 2003/2008 management & design understanding
• Working experience of Windows Server 2008/2012 build and configuration
• Good experience of administering a hybrid O365 environment
• Good experience of PowerShell scripting for Windows, Exchange, and AD administration
• Good experience with the SMTP Protocol, its use and implementation
• Good experience with managing and deploying Lync 2010 / 2013 and Skype
• Experience of using MDM based technologies, particularly the Good product suite and Intune
• A strong understanding of networking concepts and technologies such as TCP/IP, HTTP and other web protocols, proxies, and load balancers
• Knowledge of Microsoft Cloud technologies like Azure and ADFS (Highly Desirable)
• Knowledge of VMWare Virtualisation platform (Highly Desirable)
• ITL certified (Desirable) with a knowledge of structured change management
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Cloud technologies (O365, Azure, Graph API) (Highly Desirable)
• ITL certified (Desirable) with a knowledge of structured change management.
