Under supervision, develops, directs, and executes plans for moderately complex projects that may represent segments of a larger, more complex project. Under limited supervision / guidance, compiles, analyzes, and reports operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified products, processes, and materials.Works independently to plan and schedule own activities necessary to meet timelines.Works with and manages external vendors to procure materials and / or coordinate tests and experiments.Designs and coordinates standard engineering tests and experiments.Designs, procures, and fabricates tooling and fixtures.Performs troubleshooting on new products / process problems as related to design, material, or process.Summarizes, analyzes, and draws conclusions from test results.Prepares standard reports / documentation to communicate results to technical community.Responsible for engineering documentation.Experience / skills required2 years of experienceMaster s degree may count for 2 years of experience; PhD degree may count for 4 - 5 years of experiencePrior experience in medical device industry preferredExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with good leadership abilities.Excellent analytical and problem - solving skills.Ability to understand, analyze, and troubleshoot complex systems.Ability to lead structured problem - solving initiatives to resolve complex technical issuesAbility to interface with physician customers, understand relevant procedures, and interpret customer needs and product requirements.B.S. degree in engineering or applicable technical field5 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree,
