Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB TITLE: Sr. Systems EngineerLEVEL:Individual ContributorBusiness Unit/Deal: UnitedLex SS/ISReporting Structure:Infrastructure Operation ManagerLast Revision Date: Nov 24, 2019OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB:The Systems Engineer is responsible for the implementation, transition, and L2/L3 support of key enterprise systems at UnitedLex.REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES:

  • 8+ years working in an enterprise systems environment
  • Bachelor s Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience and certifications.
  • Obtained an MCSE or higher certification. ITILv3 Foundations certification is a plus.
  • Strong consultative and problem solving skills at a cross-functional level.
  • Quick learner, self-starter, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced level experience with Windows Server and Windows Desktop versions.
  • Advanced level experience with Windows based network services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, ADFS, NPS, RADIUS, NLB, Failover Clustering.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft on-prem applications including Exchange, SQL, IIS, SharePoint.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office 365 cloud applicationsservices including Exchange Online, EOP, Team, Skype for business, Intune, MFA, etc., and Microsoft Azure IaaS.
  • Experience with NMS solutions for performance and availability monitoring.
  • Good knowledge on powershell scripting.
  • Experience with email messaging solutions with advanced email routing, high availability, message encryption, anti-spam, and archive capabilities.
  • Experience with enterprise backup solutions and knowledge of application integration.
  • Experience with Patching solution like Desktop Central.
  • Experience with 3 rd party enterprise systems for MDM, Two-Factor Authentication, Antivirus
  • It would be good if candidate has valid US B1 visa
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support projects by providing project engineering during project planning and execution phases and create documentation for turn-over to operations teams.
  • Design, engineer, and implement solutions meeting high availability, performance, and disaster recovery requirements.
  • Act as subject matter expert on one or more enterprise systems and provide backup support for other systems as required.
  • Provide regular status updates on project tasks and other non-project task assignments.
  • Provide L3 technical support for escalated incidents as needed to restore services.
  • Work with other IT Infrastructure teams and IT Operations teams as needed on projects and support incident escalations.
  • Enhance existing enterprise systems by identifying improvements needed that can bring additional value to the business or improve the level of service.
  • Create and maintain complete and accurate documentation including implementation plans, test Plans, rollback plans.
  • Contribute to the creation and development of SOPs, Knowledge Base articles, and How-To documents to support operations teams.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and provide excellent customer service at all times.
  • Work with multi-cultural teams across different time zones.
