Job Description

    Responsibilities
    • Line Management of the Development team
    • Create and execute project plans and revise as appropriate in response to changing conditions
    • Create and maintain the full range of documentation for each project
    • Collaborate with account managers and clients to scope, build and deliver projects
    • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of departmental process and best practice
    • Contribute to pitches and project work in collaboration with other team members
    • Provide technical advice and support to account managers exploring client requirements
    • Liaise with clients, development teams and other interested parties
    • Identify required resources and assign tasks to appropriate individuals
    • Review deliverables before releasing to client.
    Skills
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Experience working in an agency environment
    • Excellent communication skills, including client facing and managing a range of stakeholders
    • Comprehensive understanding of current web technologies, both front end and back end, and an ability to evaluate their strengths and weaknesses
    • Clear understanding of user expectations and usability standards
    • Comfortable working on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
    • Familiarity with a range of project management methodologies and tools JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project/Smart Sheets.
    • Experience managing a variety of digital interactive projects both on web and on mobile devices
    • Experience working with creative teams
    • Excellent requirements gathering knowledge / experience running scoping workshops
    • Ability to effectively research and estimate project scopes, identify risks and evaluate timings
    • A comprehensive background in developing CMS, eCommerce and bespoke web applications
    • Ability to identify risks and develop contingencies
    • Ability to support and manage a team of developers, creative, SEO and UX specialists
    • Ability to identify and exploit skills in team members
    • Ability to identify lessons from existing projects and promote the incorporation of this learning into future projects.
