About the opportunity
• Department DescriptionThe team would be responsible for defining data architecture providing standard tools, providing standards and policies and manage central data projects working with data programmes of various business functions across the organization in a hub-and-spoke model. The capabilities of this team will include Data Change and Tooling, Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Architecture and Reporting. The team would also ensure the adoption of tooling, enforce the standards and deliver on foundational capabilities.Key AccountabilitiesThis role is for a Technical Specialist who can understand and solves complex functional, technical and architectural practices that covers data and has the ability to understand the end to end data lifecycle capabilities and technologies and provide the architectural guidance in the selection, articulation and use of the chosen solutions.The successful candidate will be expected to interact with all levels of the business and technical community, seeking strong engagement with all stakeholders.The candidate should be expert in functional data architecture & design, including strong data modelling. A candidate who is self-disciplined, with a keenness to master, suggest and work with different technologies & toolsets. The role would also involve intensive interaction with the business and other technology functions, so good communications skills and the ability to work under pressure are is essential.Experience and Qualifications Required
• B.E./ B.Tech / MCA, FULL time course only
• 7 - 9 years of overall IT experience.
• Essential Skills:
• Work with senior staff and business leaders to identify requirement for data/information across the core business domains
• Work with Project Managers and Business Analysts and other subject matter experts to identify and understand requirements
• Document requirements either through case studies, workshops or through reverse engineering of existing data sources
• Develop a data model/architecture providing integrated data architecture that enables business services with strict quality management and provides the basis for the future knowledge management processes
• Architect conceptual and logical data models and provide support to domain data SMEs and
• Act as interface between business and development teams to guide thru solution end-to-end
• Define tools used for design specifications, data modelling and data management capabilities with exploration into standard tools
• Facilitate and document agreement on data architecture strategies, so that these are consumable by the delivery consumers
• Ability to architect data architecture solutions that are in alignment with strategic technology roadmap and emerging industry trends
• Coach IT team in value and implications of the data architecture
• Provide support through all phase of implementation
• Demonstrate thought leadership
• Good understanding of data technologies including RDBMS, No-SQL databases.
• Strong exposure to Data Modelling, Data Access Patterns and SQL
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills suitable for a diverse audience, with the ability to communicate in a positive, friendly and effective manner with technical or non-technical users/ customers
• Ability to guide/mentor juniors in the team and review code artefacts
• Desirable Skills
• Cloud exposure, specifically around technology data capabilities
• Hands on data engineering skills
• Exposure and sound knowledge of Financial Services domain
• Good analysis skills to be able to join the dots across multiple applications and interfaces between them
• Proven ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment.
• Self-motivated, flexible, responsible, and a penchant for quality
• Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to prioritise own activities, work under hard deadlines.
• You have excellent software designing, programming, engineering and problem-solving skills
• Strong experience working on Snowflake, Data Ingestion, Transformation (Stored Procedures / JavaScripts) etc
• Exposure to SnowSQL, Snowpipe, Role based access controls, ETL / ELT tools like Nifi, Matallion
• Familiar with building data pipelines that leverage the full power and best practices of Snowflake as well as how to integrate common technologies that work with Snowflake (code CICD, monitoring, orchestration, data quality, monitoring)
• Experience with designing, implementing, and overseeing the integration of data systems and ETL processes
• Designing Data Ingestion and Orchestration Pipelines using nifi, AWS, kafka, spark
• Establish strategies for data extraction, ingestion, transformation, automation, and consumption
• Experience in Data Lake Concepts with Structured, Semi-Structured and Unstructured Data
• Experience in creating CI/CD Process for Snowflake
• Experience in strategies for Data Testing, Data Quality, Code Quality, Code Coverage
• Hands on expertise with Snowflake preferably with SnowPro Core Certification
• Ability, willingness & openness to experiment / evaluate / adopt new technologies
• Passion for technology, problem solving and team working
