Job Description

Technical Sr. Technical Lead - Infrastructure Engineering

Colt provides network, voice and data centre services to thousands of businesses around the world, allowing them to focus on delivering their business goals instead of the underlying infrastructure.

The Role and Accountabilities:

  1. Implementation planning for network rollout and Optimisation
  2. Developing and implementing method of procedure for service network migrations
  3. Implementing configuration work instructions for network deployment
  4. Network design work for network transformation programs e.g Node programme, TDM EoL, Network Life Cycle etc. t

    5. What you will need to succeed

      • 7 - 15 years experience in a telco Service provider environment, planningconfiguringdocumenting network assets and inventory.
      • Demonstrate awarenessexposure to vendor equipment: WDM (Ciena Infinera), Ethernet, IP (CiscoCienaNokiaJuniper), Voice (DMS, EWSD)
      • Basics of WDM and Ethernet technologies.
      • Awareness of Infrastructure Planning and rollout
      • Exposure to Infrastructure element planning implementation e.g. Copper, Fibre , Rakes, Telecom Nodes , Power plants , Transmission Towers etc.
      • Proficient in MS - Excel and Visio
      • Experience in planning and implementation of large scale network transformation programme
