JOB TITLE: Manager Level 3EXPERIENCE: 12 to 15 Years QUALIFICATION: Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Reputed Institution. RESPONSIBILITIES: Forecast levels of demand for products;Identification of new suppliers all over India of Casting (Iron/Alloy& aluminum), Sheet Metal, Rubber, spring, Plastic, Bearing. Initial supplier audit and assessment for supplier selection purpose.Budgeting & planning the funds for procurement and sourcing of materials ensuring optimum utilization of materials and maximum cost savings Capital equipment feasibility study and risk assessment at supplier as well as in houseLiaise between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers;Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers;Negotiate and agree contracts, monitoring the quality of service provided;Process payments and invoices;Evaluation of new suppliers Leads and conduct audits (Risk Assessment, Part and Process Audits (PAPA), PSO run at rates, etc.) as required. Hold technical discussions with suppliers to identify and implement improvements in products and processes and Support continuous improvement initiatives with key suppliers Identify and implement short/mid/long term improvement projects to create a step function improvement in Supplier Performance Scorecards and Customer Performance Surveys. Extensive knowledge of PFMEA, Control plan, Containment plans, GD&T, check fixtures, APQP, PPAP. Supplier training/coaching which can result in upgrade of their process and systems as per the identified gaps. Supplier / Program launch activities PPAP submissions, review APQP data and development of launch containment plans as required.
