Designation: Civil Engineer and Wooden Structure Design Engineer Work Experience: 3+ Years Place of Posting: Guwahati, Assam Salary: To Match the Best in Industry Brief Description: Hands-on Structural Design Engineer for erecting and constructing wooden buildings. The Structure Design Engineer will be responsible for leading the work of the design squad on developing various types of wooden buildings. The selected candidate will be expected to independently evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. Lead a small team of Engineers/CADs and independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete the design of the entire structure. Role & Responsibilities: Apply engineering principles, techniques and methods to design of wooden projects. Performs complex engineering tasks effectively and accurately. Review and extract engineering information from CAD Drawings. Prepares and reviews structural models using common structural analysis software such as STAAD PRO, ETAB etc. Prepare engineering design computation, sketch, and review final design drawings/ documents. Liaison and coordination with the Clients as required. Provide technical guidance to Design Engineers and Architects working on the same project. Establish design requirements of the project and monitor draft and final deliverable for adherence. Ensure design is in conformance with time, cost, schedule and contractual requirements. Provide technical expertise in terms of quantity, quality and cost. Make assessment and plan corrective action to ensure accomplishment of targets within defined SLA and overcome inefficiencies. Coordinate work of the project team with other engineering disciplines with effective liaison. Prepare and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents. May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters. Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Proficiency in use of structural analysis tools and software. Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills in Assamese, English and understanding of Hindi.
