Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop product code as a member of a scrum team in our Global Engineering Organization
  • Design, implement, test and deploy user interfaces using Angular 8+ as defined by the product management team. Write code, unit tests and end to end tests, and collaborate with QA in your scrum team to ensure high quality and highly performant implementations
  • Work in a scrum team using Agile principles and methodology. Work closely with the Product Management and the User Experience teams to understand, groom and breakdown features into user stories that can be implemented in a single sprint
  • Fix the medium to high complexity bugs, provide solutions and drive continuous improvement of one or more modules of the current system
  • Explore, study and adopt new front-end technologies to keep on upgrading with the latest technical changes in the market
  • Assist and coach other junior team members on design, implementation of user stories and bug fixes
  • Responsible for Code Reviews for junior developers

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or foreign equivalent or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Angular 8 or later versions of Angular, CSS, SCSS, HTML and other modern front-end technologies. Must be able to work independently with these technologies
  • Strong knowledge of Jasmine, Karma and Protractor
  • Strong knowledge of debugging JavaScript applications using modern development tools
  • Good knowledge of JavaScript build tools and package managers like Webpack, Yarn, Angular CLI etc.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of UI performance measurement and tuning techniques
  • Strong experience and understanding of developing cross-browser compatible front-ends
  • Experience with JSON, REST APIs, and integrating back-end APIs with the front-end
  • Strong understanding of key programming concepts such as data structures, algorithms, OOPS, exception handling and basics of RDBMS systems
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Minimum five years of experience in actively developing web applications with AngularJS and Angular with at least two years of experience with Angular 4 or later
  • Good communication, presentation, and collaboration skills

Desired Skills/Experience

  • Experience of working with Angular 9+
  • Experience of working on data centric applications
  • Experience of CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins
  • Working knowledge and experience of Docker, Kubernetes
  • Working knowledge and experience of using Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform for development and deployment
  • Working knowledge of Linux including the CLI
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams
