Job Description

    We are looking for a Linux -L1/2 Support Engineer to join our growing (Guwahati and Ranchi) teamdelivering They are responsible for the development and maintenance of configuration managementsolutions. Moreover, they provide support for infrastructure, design and develop tools for infrastructuremonitoring and reportingKey Responsibilities:Collaborate with fellow system administrators, engineers, and support team members by leading projectsand creating/teaching technical coursework to junior team membersProvide Fanatical Support in all interactionsInstall, configure, update and troubleshoot services for customers, such as RedHat Linux OS levelconcerns, web server, database server, applications server and mail; includes Nginx, Apache, PHP, RHCSclustering, MySQL, FTP, SSH and DNSSupports, configures, and automates the deployment ofLinux infrastructure through existing Kickstart/Cobbler/Engine infrastructureEstablishes and recommends policies on system maintenance, use, performance, services and automationTroubleshoots internal and external applications, hardware problems and operating system issuesWork closely with application team to support the install of various big data applicationtechnical information to identify severity of incidents and carry out accordingly the resolution process,research issues that do not have a recognized solution and prepare a resolution process for them, partnerwith application developers to create strong software products, and write and maintain scripts, such aspython and shell, that automate tech operations.Engineers assist in tweaking the performance of the system, so that network infrastructure is abundantlyavailable. They are responsible for the development and maintenance of configuration managementsolutions. Moreover, they provide support for infrastructure, design and develop tools for infrastructuremonitoring and reporting. Engineers use software tools and IP network technologies to monitorperformance and to resolve problems. They need to maintain local documentation, which gets updated onall features of servers.Technicians collaborate with other teams to push for better security practices across anorganizations applications and deploy solutions to enhance productivity. They partner withengineering teams to plan and create custom Linux hardware.Engineers need to create documentation on systems related to IT and knowledge base areas.Engineers need to understand how the hardware of Linux OS works and must be knowledgeable aboutStorage Area Networks (SAN) servers. They set up configurations for network, database, and highavailability services, besides designing and developing OS system configurations for software packages.
