As a Senior Software Engineer - Product Development in the Zaloni Data Platform ( ZDP) team, youll play a crucial role in helping us build and maintain an industry leading Data Lake Management platform. Youll be working closely with Product Development and Product Management using your Big Data Solutions skills to improve and enhance the quality, reliability and stability of ZDP. You will solve complex problems that range from performance and scalability to usability. ZDP is a Data Lake Management application that connects together all big data technologies. We work with the Hadoop Ecosystem ( Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, H Catalog etc) , Spark, Spark MLlib, Elastic- search, Logstash, Kibana, AWS, Azure, GCP and many more. Basically, our technological stack is made of all the technologies of the big data landscape. Our back end is mainly written in Java Spring but also includes some chunks in Scala. Our front end is based on Angular JS. Minimum QualificationsProficient in developing applications using Spring and Spring Boot. Experience with Hibernate, JPA. Proficient in the use of appropriate design patterns where applicable. Proficient in Big Data solutions - Hadoop, Hive, HCatalog, Spark. Experience using and deploying on Linux. Experience with Software Testing process. Experience with Automated Software Quality Assurance. Experience with Performance Testing, Tuning and OptimizationExperience in teams using CI / CD Pipeline - Maven, Git, Jenkins, GitFlow Additional Preferred QualificationsExposure to Typescript, ECMAScript 6 and evolution in the JS space is a plus. Deploying with Docker, Kubernetes is a big plus. Experience with Junit, Selenium, Karma, Jasmine. Experience with working a team building product would be a big plus. Experience working on AWS, Azure. Exposure to Scala, Python, Bash is a plus. ResponsibilitiesDevelops, Tests and Documents features, enhancements and bug fixes as part of an Agile Development life cycle. Demonstrates up- to- date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans Leads and participates in medium- to large- scale projects Leads the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with high level design Leads the work of other small groups of four to six engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects Provides support to Product Management and Engineering Management with estimates and feature designs. Mentor and groom junior engineers in the organization.,
