Job Description

This team operates in the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities area of Global Markets Risk Technology and works on a suite of Applications for Front Office Trading desks in London, Americas and Asia Pac regions.

The successful candidate will join the India development team reporting to the local development manager. They will be primarily responsible for designing and building e-Trading applications for FX business. Additional responsibilities may include enhancements to existing applications.

Responsibilities

  • Design low latency, scalable and optimized systems for complex business needs on Java platform.
  • Optimize and tune existing modules for better performance
  • Write high quality server side components.
  • Collaborate with cross board teams for deliverables
  • Deliver quality software meeting given timelines.
  • Be a very strong team player, collaborating with teams in India, Singapore, London and NY
  • Stakeholder management across the globe.

Requirements:

Education: B.E./ B. Tech/M.E./M. Tech/BSC/MSC/BCA/MCA (prefer IT/CS specialization)

Certifications If Any: Java Certification

Experience Range: 4 - 8 Yrs

Mandatory Skill:

  • Strong Java development skills for high performant applications with ultra-low latency
  • Has very strong OOO programming concepts
  • Has extensive expertise developing on enterprise level systems
  • Thorough with all the best practices and design patterns for server side components.
  • Good software design skills
  • Good understanding of HTML5 React JS and other JavaScript based UI tools/modules.
  • Develop low latency applications aligned with Core Java
  • Strong development experience in Core Java with Multithreading
  • Strong analytics skills and ownership mindset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to work closely with other technology teams, traders middle office, and Compliance

Desired skills:

  • Working knowledge of design patterns, data structures, algorithms.
  • Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of trading functions and flow in FX Trading
